"Your working a What now?"Jake Asked, as he sat on his hotel bed for a late night FaceTime with Brynn.

"I'm working a double shift tomorrow until Saturday, and I don't have a way out."Brynn sighed, rubbing her face with the palm of her hand.

Zarens was forcing her to work a double shift, and she wouldn't see Jake come home.

She was so disappointed and pissed.

But she was waiting her energy on someone who knew how to push her buttons besides Jake.

"I'm sorry Brynn."Jake apologized, as Charlie walked in, plopping next to Jake.

"Hi Brynn!"Charlie chirped and Brynn shook her head chuckling.

"Hello Avoy."Brynn smirked and Jake chuckled, as Charlie Playfully glared at Brynn.

"rino."Charlie fired back before Brynn sent him a not so friendly finger.

"Wow Brynn I'm offended."Charlie declared, and Brynn smirked.

"Good."

"Ok I head double shift!"Tuukka yelled, walking out of the bathroom and Jake groaned.

"Am I not aloud to have a private conversation with my lovely girlfriend?"Jake groaned once more, as Brynn laughed, and the two boys nodded.

"When you share a room with Tuukka and I, we hear everything."Charlie Stated, and Jake chuckled, as Tuukka plopped on the other side of Jake.

"So Bri, your working a double shift? And there's like no way you can get out of it?"Tuukka Asked, And Brynn nodded groaning.

"My CEO is such an ass!"She yelled, and Jake furrowed his eyebrows at her.

This was the first time Jake had heard about a new CEO at UMass, and it confused him, and it also made him slightly worried.

"I'll explain later Jake."Brynn Stated quickly, and Jake nodded, and Tuukka and Charlie looked at the phone.

"Explain What?"Charlie Questioned, And Brynn waved her hand at Charlie, signaling not now.

"I'll let you get to bed."Jake forced a smile and Brynn nodded, plugging in her phone, and shutting off the bedside light.

"Love ya!"Brynn smiled and Charlie cut in before Jake could say anything.

"I love you too brynn."Charlie smiled cheeky, and Jake smacked him upside the head "Hey!"

"Not you Charlie!"Brynn screeched, and Jake laughed.

"Brynn your mean!"Charlie fired back and Brynn smiles in the dark.

"Get used to it."Brynn sassed before Jake cut in between the three of them.

"I love you too Bri, night."

"Night."

And just like that the Call had ended, and the two men were looking at Jake.

"Dude when are you going to do it?!"Charlie yelled, and Tuukka smacked Charlie on the back of the head.

"What is with the two of you smacking me on the back of the head?!"Charlie exclaimed and Jake rolled his eyes.

"In 8 Days Charlie... 8 days.."

"And there's like no way you can get out of it?"Kenzie asked, the next day, as Conrad, Brynn, and Kenzie walked through the children's ward, and Brynn nods.

"The worst part is, is that Jakes coming home tomorrow and I can't even see him."Brynn whined, and Conrad chuckled.

"You miss your hubby?"He Asked, And Brynn looked at him.

"He isn't my husband you know that right?"Brynn corrected Conrad, and Kenzie rolled her eyes.

"You two sure do damn act like it sometimes, I swear."Kenzie Stated And Brynn shrugged, making they're way to the break room for lunch.

"What do you think today's card will be?"Kenzie wiggled her eyebrows together, and Brynn giggled.

"I don't know!"Brynn exclaimed, as the three enter the break room, and Brynn's eyes wandered to the middle table to find roses and a card.

Brynn opened up the black envelope, and pulls out a yellow card, chuckling, before reading the card.

"I love how you got G.R.I.T.(S.)

(Yes I stole that from one of your favorite Brantley songs your welcome. Even if you weren't raised in the south.)

And you work hard for your money, giving it your all during work, even if it costs you your own health, which isn't good, but you never give up and that's one of the million reasons why I love you."

Brynn let out a soft giggle, pulling out her phone, and starting to play G.R.I.T.S, In fact, one of her favorite songs from Just As I Am, Brantley Gilbert's Album, along with Read me My rights, Small Town Throw down, Bottoms up and Grown Ass Man.

That one card would be one of the only ones she would receive during what seemed like her last lunch, not even knowing what was coming.
