Chapter three

I woke up this morning with a headache.I sat up in my bed and remebered it was the first day of my new school.I sat there untill my headace went away then I got up and changed.I decided to go with denim skinny jeans and a band tee shirt.I went to the bathroom,rinsed off my face.Then I applied some mascara and little blush.I combed out my hair into a messy bun.I grabed my backpack and phone.I walked out my room and downstairs.There was a note on the table from my dad.It read,I'll be waiting tonight...I've never gotton a note from him with those words,usually he writes notes when he's leaving for a couple of days.I guess I will find out tonight.I grabed an apple,slipped on my hoodie and started walking to school.

When I got to school there were different groups of people. I hate to label but to give an idea of what I saw,jocks,popular girls,emo,and nerds.I walked up the front steps to the doors catching everyone's glares and whispers about the new girl.I ignored them and opend the door.I needed to find the front office to get a schedule.I walked around the school,to shy to ask anyone where the office was.When I turned the corner I walked into this guy,I have to admit he's pretty cute.He has short dark brown hair and brown eyes,tall and skinny but toned arms.I looked up into his eyes and we held eachothers stair for what seemed like forever."um sorry I didn't mean to walk into you"I said in a calm voice."Its all good sunshine, can I help you?You seem lost."he said in a deep sexy voice."Uh yeah,I'm trying to find the office."Ok cool I will show you if you tell me your name.He said with a smile. "My names Shay". Ok miss Shay nice to meet you I'm Ashton,now follow me" he said. I followed him in silence down the hall,untill we got to my destination. "Thanks"I said turning my back to walk in the office."No problem Shay, I will see you at lunch." I grabed my schedule from the lady who seemed quite busy in a game of online poker. Well,I guess now I have someone to sit with. Unless he ditches me like most people do.

I found my first period class which was english.I walked in and found all eyes on me.The teacher turned to me and asked for my name."Class,this young girl is Shay.Please make her feel welcome here"said Mr.Jennings.I walked to the back of the room,the only seat open.The guy next to me would not keep his eyes off of me.It really irratated me but I blocked him out and the teahcer.I wonder what my dad ment by that letter,I hope its not another one of his terrible beatings.He never leaves a note about beatings,usually there unexpected or when he's mad and drunk.My mind raced about what would happen when I walk through the doors of my home.I let the thought slip away,when I thought about Ashton.The way he looked at me, I don't know why but I felt safe.I know that's dumb though because I don't know one thing about him except his name.I snapped out of my thoughts when the bell rang.I grabbed my things and went to find my locker.When I found my locker I took some things out of my bag and shut the locker. I turned around and faced a girl with blonde curled hair and blue eyes,a big smile on her face."Hi I'm Ally"she said in a cheerful voice."Uh hey I'm Shay"I said in an awkward tone."I figured you might need someone to show you to your classes.What's your next class?"Its room 423 with Mrs.ferris"I said in an unsure voice."Oh goody I have that class as well,come along"Ally said with a big smile.I followed Ally to our next class.Its strange that I've met two people this morning.At my old school kids are not as friendly.I'm sure not all the kids here are nice, telling by the looks I get throughout the hallway.When we got to our class I tried to sneek my way to the back of the class,but failed when Ally grabed my wrist and pulled me to the front of the class.I pulled my arm back fast,causing everyone to stair at us.Ally looked at me in a shocked face then wipped it off quickly and turned to Mrs.ferris to tell her I was new here.Ally took a seat in the second row and looked at me with a big smile."Hello Shay,I'm Mrs.ferris your history teacher.Would you please tell the class a little about yourself".I turned to the class,"Um hi I'm Shay,I'm 16 and just moved here yesturday from Flordia".Ally looked at me and pointed to the seat next to her,for me to sit by her.I took the seat,seeing it was the only open seat.I blocked the teachers voice out again and before I knew it It had already been time for lunch after fourth period.Ally had found me and walked with me to the lunch room.We were in line for lunch when I felt an arm wrap around my waist I tensed up and tried to pull away but his grip was strong.I turned my head and saw a guy with short blonde hair and brown eyes looking down at me."Hey babe,your looking tasty"he said while licking his bottom lip."Get your hand off me"I whispered,knowing he ignored me. Ashton appeared in front of us and looked at the blonde boy with an angry expression,almost jealous."Take your arm off her"Ashton said in a angry tone.The blonde boy then tightend his grip around my waist looking at Ashton with a grin."I'm going to count to three and if your hand isn't off her I will break it off myself"Ashton yelled,making a mob to come around us.Ashton walked closer "One"he said getting angrier.The blonde boy moved his hand down touching my ass,making me jump.Ashton threw his fist into the blonde guys nose,making him bleed.He dropped his hand off me,immediately grabing his bleeding nose.Ashton punched the guys stomache causing him to fall to the ground clutching his stomach with one hand and the other his nose.Before Ashton could kick him,Ally pulled Ashton back and told him to calm down.I ran out of the lunch room and into the empty hallway.I slid down the lockers onto my bottom and started shaking.Flashbacks of my dad touching me and me pushing him back to stop came back to me.I rememberd him slaping my face and pushing me to the floor,kicking me.Before all my memories came rushing back,I saw Ashton and Ally running my way.I starred at the lockers on the other side of the hall.Ashton kneeled down in front of me and asked if I was okay.He kept talking to me but all I saw were his lips moving I was in shock. I couldn't hear anything.I was still processing all of what just happend."Shay,its all okay now I'm here"I heard Ashton say in a comforting whisper.He put his arms around my shoulders and pulled me into a hug.When he touched me I felt safe like I could trust him.When others touched me I felt scared and worried.He pulled away and stood up,holding his hand out for me to grab.I grabed his hand and he helped me up."You Alright"?he asked."I'm fine" I lied.The bell rang and lunch was over.My next two classes were with Ashton.I sat next to him in both.The last two classes I didn't know anyone.When the bell rang to end school.I walked out the doors when Ashton called my name.He came jogging up to me."Hey,do you take the bus"?he asked."No I walk" I said looking down."Do you mind if I give you a ride"?he asked."Um sure"I said.I followed him to his car,a black mustang.He opend the door for me before I could myself.I got in and smiled at him.We drove off in silence.

"I'm sorry about what happend at lunch.Also that you didn't get lunch,you think I could get you lunch this weekend just you and me as friends"?Why was he sorry he helped me."You don't have to apologize,you helped me.Thank you and ya I would like that"I said with a smile.We pulled up to my house and we got out.He walked me to my door and turned towards me."Shay,I think your an interesting girl,I can't wait to get to know you next weekend"he said with a smile."Thanks,I can't wait to get to know you too"I said blushing."Well I will see you tomorrow Shay.Oh and I will be picking you up Okay"?"Okay,see you tomarrow then"I smiled and turned around to open the door after I heard him leave.
