"I'm still mad at you for laughing at Buckys eyebrow joke," Natasha spoke up to Steve and Elisa laughed, looking at the two as they played a game of chess on the floor. Elisa watched as Natasha took another one of Steve pieces.

"I'm sorry, it was funny!" Steve tried and Natasha rolled her eyes.

"Yeah sure," she said, squaring off his queen, "checkmate."

Steve sighed as they reset the board, Natasha smirking at his loss. Elisa got up, going over to help vision with making the New Years dinner,

"Thank you, I just want to make sure the new year is perfect," Vision spoke, a light chuckle in his tone.

Elisa smiled, tying on a match apron, staring down at the recipe and how far he went. She frowned and shook her head.

"Vis, what are you trying to make here?" She asked and Vision looked at the mess.

"Black eyed peas, they bring good luck to the following year," he said and Elisa looked over him.

"When have we ever had good luck?" She asked.

"Maybe we needed to eat more peas," Vision said and Elisa smiled.

"Well, there's nothing special to it, you boil them," Elisa spoke, getting a large pot, filling it with hot water and set it on the stove, turning it on. She cleaned the mess he made and looked to him.

"Is the ham ready to be baked?" She asked as he picked up the tray with an unseasoned ham. Elisa sighed and set the tray down.

"You want to season it before baking," she spoke, walking over to the spice cabinet, going through to find stuff to go on it.

"We came to America for gold and spices and we only have gold in this damn building," Elsia sighing grabbing what she could make do with and made a glaze to go on the ham, layering it on and stuck it in the oven. Elisa turned on the timer and waited for it to count down, noticing Thor's friend, Brunnehilde walk in.

"What are you preparing for?" Brunnehilde asked, making Elisa turn her head.

"Tomorrow is a new year, so tonight, we eat black eyed peas for wealth and ham because," Elisa frowned as she forgot, turning to Vision for the answer.

"It doesn't show online," he said and Elisa turned to the warrior.

"Let's just say good luck," she smiled and Brunnehilde nodded.

"You eat peas with eyes?" She asked and Elisa cringed.

"No, that's just the name, the black spot on it looks like an eye," Elisa explained and Brunnehilde nodded, looking at the pot.

"Do they go in this boiling water?" She asked and Elisa nodded. Pouring the peas in.

"Don't they teach this stuff in Asgard school?" Elisa asked, remembering overhearing Thor talk about his electives.
