I was walking upstairs to change into anything nice I could wear to a high school party. I tried on a light pink one that went well with my hair, but I just threw on a pair of jeans and a nice shirt with a cardigan since it was below freezing. I got down stairs to drive to the party, and my dad stopped me at the door. "Do you have a date?" He said putting one hand on his hip, and leaned on the door. "Yes. I think now I have to bring him inside." "You better." He said as I walked outside. I saw my date Andrew outside. I told him my dad wanted to meet him first, he looked kinda scared and I led him inside. "Who are you?" My Dad asked. "Andrew Green. My dad is Harvey Green." He said quietly. "I approve. You two can go now." He said. Andrew smiled and took me by the hand and we drove to the party. "I hate parties." I admitted. "Me too, but we'll meet lots of people probably." "I'll drive us back, so I won't be drinking." "Remember that girl in Freaks And Geeks?" "Yeah, Millie?" I laughed. "Didn't she say one time 'I prefer to get high on life'?" "Yeah. I can now relate to her." "I'll probably be on the couch." "Okay." He said parking the car. "See you when I see you." He said going inside I went in a few minutes after, Because they had a cute dog outside.I found the couch and sat down and looked around me for a minute. There were a few other cute guys, and Jurassic Park was playing on the Tv.
I watched it when I saw a guy looking at me. He had blonde hair and I remembered who he was. He's like a male cat. He hooks up with other girls as soon as she gets pregnant, he probably has like ten kids.
He kept looking and I got uncomfortable. He walked over and sat by me. "Hey, you like this movie?" "Who doesn't? It's a classic." I said restraining my hate for this guy. "Nuns." He smiled. I looked at his teeth. He hasn't had braces, so he had snaggle teeth. "I mean you're not wrong." I said. We kept watching the movie and he kept scooting closer. Andrew who was holding a red solo cup filled with water, sat by me. "Water?" I laughed. "Gotta get that h20." He said clinking his cup to mine, that was filled with lemonade. "Andrew? What are you doing here?" Blonde snaggle teeth asked. "Lincoln, she's my date to this thing. So if you knock her up, or even ask her to get in your pants I'll blast you to space." Andrew said looking really irritated. "I wasn't even g-" "that's what you said before you knocked up my sister. That's what you said to her. Now you have a kid that you don't even know you had." Andrew said getting up. "Andrew quit ruining the party!" Lincoln said. "Your date is a shithead." He said getting up. "I would be mad too if you knocked up my sister." I said. "What did you say?" He said looking back. "Nothing." I said drinking my lemonade.
The cute guys saw that and laughed at him. Me and Andrew weren't dating since he was gay. I told him I spotted a guy for him, and he went over there. He made conversation and they were holding hands within seconds. "Is this how gay people work?" I said to myself. "I guess." Someone said behind me. I turned around to see Timothee. He was a grade above me and he's really good lookin'. "Oh, hi." I said. "Salutations, is that lemonade?" "Yes, it's in the kitchen fridge if you want some." "Can I try it first?" He said pointing at your cup. "Shoot." You said hanging him it. He tasted it, and made a sour face. "That's like that toxic waste candy." He laughed. "It's all I can have. I'm driving him home." You said pointing at Andrew, who was now making out with the guy. "I think he doesn't need a ride now." Timothee laughed. You did a small laugh. He stood a little closer and you felt hot. "Wanna go home?" He said a few moments later. "Yeah. This isn't really what I expected." You laughed.
"What were you expecting?" He said. "Karaoke, louder, and dark."
"Me too actually." He said his voice sounding groggy.
We drove to my house and he dropped me off. "Nice having a conversation." He said. "Yeah, I'll see you whenever." "Most likely school." He said smiling. We said bye and he drove off as the street lamps light guided me inside.
