Dell slept over a lot, and I would run by Timothee's house once in a while.
I wanted to clear the air between us, and not have it so toxic.
I ran the five blocks to his house and saw him moving his stuff into an SUV. I caught my breath and he looked around at me. My sweaty, and tired self that he saw also in his car for the second time. "Hi." He said setting the boxes down by the tires. "Hey." Was all I said. "Listen, What I said was so bad, and I didn't really fuck Alexa ever again. I jut did that because, I couldn't accept that you wanted that geek." He said crossing his arms and his eyes darting back and forth. "I-" "Dell, isn't the one for you, he's so- he's just kinda-" he said and I immediately cut him off. "This is how boys apologize? It's pretty pathetic. I'm going to stick to guys my age, and you know have a shred of childhood left on them. Dell, hasn't changed since he was twelve. He's skinny, and has the same braces. Same freckles on his back. You just-" "Just leave." He said picking up the boxes again. He asked me to open the door of the car. He put the boxes and fr a second he left his fingers in where I could shut them in the door. I slammed the door onto his three fingers and heard a menacing snap, and a low yell. "Son of a bitch!" He screamed. He looked at me in horror, and backed up and opened the door. His fingers were purple and disfigured almost. "Good luck in college." I said and went back to running.
School started back up and it was me an Dell's senior year. We walked down the halls and bumped into each other. I looked at my schedule and realized I didn't have classes. I was ahead.
I had free hours at school.
I went to the secretary's office, and tapped on her desk. "Hey! Uh why aren't you in class?" "I have free hours? Do I even need to be at school?" "Those mean- oh you're a teacher aid." "So I'm supposed to help.." I looked at my class times and numbers of the room.
"Mrs. Freeman?" "Yeah. So get to it." She said laughing and turning on her computer.
I was headed to Mrs. Freeman's class, and saw a bunch of sophomores. "I'm late for my signees of teaching?" I said. They laughed, and I sat by Mrs. Freeman. "Grade these." She said. "Gotcha." I said scooting over to the front of the room, and they laughed even more.
School was over for the day and I got home to see my mom wasn't there.
My dad wasn't there either.
"Mom?" I waited. There was silence and I checked their room, and saw nothing. I looked into their bathroom. Nobody.
"Dad? Where is mom?" I Waited to see if he was in my bathroom or outside. I liked it see if they left a note. I saw one by the snacks.
'You're mom is in the hospital, she was at work, cattle wouldn't cooperate. Meet us there after school.

It wasn't a big deal, I thought, and I went to my car and started it again. I saw Dell walking in my driveway. I rolled down my window and told him that I was going to the hospital. He got in with me and I drove kinda fast.
I walked trough the doors as Dell waited in the car. I saw my dad in the waiting room. "Hey, How was the first day?" He said hugging me. "Good, Where's Mom?" I said peeking into the room by us. "The second room you see when you go upstairs." He said. I nodded and went upstairs.
"Hi." I said. I was expecting mom sitting upright in a bed, and I saw Timothee with flowers.
"What are you doi-" "hush." He said walking to me. "I don't forgive you! Why aren't you in college? An education is way more important than this shit!" I said leaving the room. "Your Dad wants us together." "He's a gullible sweet man. Unlike some guys." I said walking out again. He grabbed my arm, and I hit it away. "Dell is waiting in my car." I said looking him in the eyes.
"He can wait. I also would like to get back with you." "You just want me in your pants. Like everyone else you see with boobs." "Be like that." Was all he said. "I'm taking the flowers." I said. He handed them over and I threw them on the floor, and he stared at them.
I walked downstairs and my dad sensed the tension. "You guys get back to-" "I'm with Dell for a reason." Was all I said as I stormed out the doors.
