Joe's pov
~~~~~~~
Yesterday my friends and I talked to Zoey through Skype. The guys seem to like her a lot. I do too, but who wouldn't. This girl is perfect. She is beautiful. Probably got her looks from her mom. She raised Zoey right. And her dad did too...
"Joe?" Murr said as the others are staring at me.
"What?" I replied. Sal sighed.
"We've said your name like five times. What the heck are you thinking about?" He asked. They have? Really?
"I'm thinking about Zoey....do you think it's time?" I asked.
"Time for what?" Q answered in a confused tone.
"Can we have her spend the rest of the summer with us?" They were silent. Were they gonna say no? After awhile they all smiled and nodded.
"Go for it!" Murr exclaimed. I quickly went into my bedroom to grab my laptop, then walked out and sat on the couch.
"Should we Skype?" I asked. Sal shrugged.
"Why not, it would be fun to see her reaction," Sal said. I turned on my computer and logged into Q's Skype because that's the one Zoey knows. I hope she answers.
"Hi Joe," Zoey said in a smile, "How are you?"
"Good," I replied, "Listen Zoey, I need to ask you something." Zoey had a concern look on her face.
"Yeah, what's wrong?" she asked in a worried voice.
"Oh nothing's wrong," I chuckled, "but do you remember the letter you sent us?"
"Yeah, why?" Zoey answered while fixing a clip in her hair.
"Well, I wanted to know if you would want to spend the rest of the summer with us. You said in the letter you wanted to, so do you?" I questioned. I saw Zoey's eyes lit up. Her smile grew big.
"Are you serious? Are you really serious?!" She exclaimed.
"Yeah, i'm serious," I replied with a short laugh.
"Then, heck yeah! Hold on, i'm gonna tell my mom," she said while she ran out of the room.
"She seems really happy," Murr muttered.
"Yeah and surprised too," Q added. That's when I saw a woman with dark brown hair and green eyes walk to the screen. She DID NOT look pleased...
Zoey's mom pov
~~~~~~~~~~~
When Zoey told me about what Joe asked her I was...well, I had mixed emotions about it. I felt happy for her because I know how much she loved them, but I also felt upset because I don't trust them. I mean, I haven't truly met them before. I walked upstairs to my daughter's bedroom and looked at her laptop. Joe was using Skype with her again, like yesterday.
"Hi, you must be Mrs. Freeman," He said, "I'm Joe."
"Oh, you can call me Beth," I replied a bit coldly.
"Someone woke up on the wrong side of the bed," I heard a guy, probably Q, say.
"SHHH, BRIAN!" Joe yelled. I crossed my arms.
"Listen guys. I like what your offering my daughter, I really do, but I don't think I will let her go," I explained.
"Why not?" Joe asked. I sighed.
"Because Zoey...is special. She's different, but that's the good thing about her. I don't think I am ready to leave her alone for the whole summer. She could go nuts or...think bad thoughts..." Joe really wanted to ask what I meant by "Bad Thoughts" but he didn't ask, which I appreciated.
"Why don't you come with us?" Joe questioned. Me? Really? I would love to keep an eye on my daughter to make sure she will be okay, it sounds like a great idea. Luckily, my job is very flexible. I nodded.
"Okay, sounds like a plan."
"Great!" Joe exclaimed, "no need to give me an address to mail the tickets to because I still have Zoey's envelope from her letter."
"You kept it?" I said confusingly.
"Of course, I love the design," Joe explained.
"You shouldn't have to pay the tickets," I muttered.
"Don't worry about it Beth," Joe spoke, "it's our pleasure. We all really want to see Zoey in real life and this sounds like a fun experience." I gave a small smile.
"Thank you Joe, and of course the others," I said, "I better tell Zoey, bye."
"Bye!" I heard them all say. I didn't log off in case Zoey wanted to finish talking to them. I walked downstairs and found Zoey sitting at the table eating chips.
"So, what's the word on the bird?" my daughter asked while looking up from the bowl of chips.
"Well, you are going and I am coming with you," I replied. Zoey smiled brightly and gave me a big hug.
"Thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you!" she exclaimed.
"They are still on Skype," I uttered. She nodded and went upstairs. I got a little misty eyed. That's the happiest I've seen my daughter in a long time.

Zoey's pov
~~~~~~~~
I can't believe this! I am really going to spend the rest of the summer with them. I ran back upstairs into my room. I hope my mom didn't give them a hard time. She can be over-protective at times, but I can't blame her. I am her only child. I sat back in my seat and waved.
"Hi again," I said as casually as I could, but it was hard because of all the excitement in the my chest.
"Look, Zoe Zoe's back!" Q exclaimed. I laughed.
"Did your mom tell you the news?" Joe asked.
"Yes she did!" I excitedly replied, it's getting late, I should probably log off sorry."
"No, it's okay, bye Zoey," Joe uttered.
"Bye!" I said. I logged off and instantly an email came from Joe.
Hey Zoey, already told your mom about how we are going to pay for the tickets. We are actually looking for them now! It looks like you guys will be here on June 21st. Is that okay?
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Yeah, that's perfectly fine :)
Can't wait to see you guys then.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Same here! ;)
Bye Zoey
~~~~~~~~~~~
Bye!!!
~~~~~~~
I shut down my laptop and looked out my window. June 21st is in a week from today. It's too far away! Why can't it be closer? I shrugged. For the rest of the night, all I did was admire the glorious stars before I went to sleep.
