The Fault In Our Jokers

Zoey's pov

I woke up and checked my phone. It was about 10:30. My mom wasn't in her bed so I bet she was already awake. I walked into the kitchen and was greeted by my mom and Joe.

"Good morning, honey," my mom said as she handed me a banana.

"Good morning," I yawned. I ate the banana with no problem. It was delicious.

"So what's the plan today?" mom asked Joe. He shrugged.

"Well, Zoey wanted me to see a movie with her." He explained. I jumped up.

"Not just you!" I exclaimed, "but everyone else too. My mom has already seen the movie and loved it." My mom smiled and nodded.

"I think I know what movie you are talking about," she said.

"Can we go to the movies?" I asked, "I'll pay." Joe laughed.

"Yeah we'll go, but you don't have to pay," he smirked, "find the times for the movie you want to see and I will text the guys," I smiled.

"Ok, thanks Joe!" I yelled as he walked away. And he was gone.

*Time skip*

I had looked up the times. It was 2:30 and the movie starts at 2:45. Joe texted all the guys and they were over at his apartment.

"Are we ready?" My mom asked. The guys looked around.

"Yeah, I think so," Sal answered. I was so excited that I couldn't hide it.

Joe's pov

We piled into Murr's van. He had the biggest vehicle that could fit all of us. Q sat upfront with Murr because he called shot-gun. Zoey sat by her mom and I sat by Sal in the back. We were driving when this song came on the radio. Suddenly, Zoey started to sing.

"Saturday morning, jump out of bed...put on my best suit. Got in my car and raced like a jet...all the way to you. Knocked on your door with heart in my hand...to ask you a question. Cause I know that you're an old fashion man."

When it got to the chorus she sang, "why you gotta be so rude, don't you know i'm human too?"

After the song was over I asked her, "what was that song?" She smiled as she turned around.

"It's called Rude by Magic with an exclamation point," she replied.

"It's a good song, but not as good as my skoopski potatoes song," I joked. She let out a short laugh.

"We're here!" Q exclaimed. We scattered out. Before we left my apartment, I put snacks in my pockets to sneak into the theater. The guys did the same, except for Zoey and Beth.

"Let's go," Zoey said. We walked into the movie theater and got ready to pay for tickets. The clerk smiled.

"You guys are from impractical jokers, right?" she questioned. Sal grinned.

"Well we are, but not these lovely ladies," Sal answered. Zoey giggled and Beth sighed.

"What movie do you guys want to see?" the clerk asked.

Zoey smiled and said, "The Fault in Our Stars, please."

"That will be $46.67," the clerk replied whiling getting out the tickets. My friends and I spilt the bill and payed. We got our tickets and went into the theater room. This was the order we were sitting in:

Q, Beth, Me, Zoey, Murr, Sal

The movie started and the lights turned down low. While I was watching the movie I ate my snacks that I snuck in. Yes...i snuck in DONUTS! The movie at the end brought me to tears. I was crying while eating my chocolate donut.

Zoey was crying too, but she was trying to be quiet about it, while I was a sobbing dinosaur. When the movie got over I was shocked. We were in the stylish lobby.

"The movie can't end like that!" I exclaimed, "tell me that isn't it!" Zoey nodded while wiping her eyes.

"That's all that happens," she replied. Q shrugged.

"It was horrible anyway..." Q trailed off. Beth laughed.

"Says the guy I can hear sobbing and whispering, no, this can't be happening," Beth smirked. I laughed.

"T-That's not true," he uttered with watery eyes, "OK! Fine the movie was good." He rushed into the bathroom and grabbed some toilet paper for him to dry his eyes.

"That movie was amazing...but that ending made me cry," Murr explained. Sal nodded.

"I agree!" We walked outside and walked to the van when Beth tripped on her own feet. I caught her before she hit the ground.

"You okay?" I asked sincerely. She smiled.

"Yeah," she answered, "thanks Joe." I forgot to let go of her and she was still in my arms. Everyone was already inside the van. Q sighed from the front seat.

"Come on, lovebirds!" Q exclaimed. I blushed and so did she. We let go of each other and awkwardly got back in the van.

"Everyone ok?" Murr asked. We all nodded, "okay?" Zoey grinned.

"...Okay," she replied silently, but dramatically. We all awed and complained about "the feels", but I couldn't stop thinking about Beth. Why did I hang on to her so long..why?"

Yeah! Another chapter done!!! Sorry it took so long. I started school so it's hard to keep up with all of this stuff.

I know this chapter sucked, but I hope you guys still liked it.
