Jissu stood up from where she was crouched at the back of the room once she had made sure that the boys had left. She let her feet carry herself forward and to the front room. What she found was Eunjin lying on the floor, her hands and feet tied in front of her like a calf. Jissu quickly went over to one of the windows where she watched the boys exit the building.
As they started to walk away, the one with the red hair, she thought his name was Taeyong, started to sway and stumble as he walked.
Jissu kept watching just long enough to see him stumble backwards and his legs gave out beneath him. The other one, Ten, grabbed his torso to keep him from falling but they were too weak and both fell to the pavement.
Jissu let the shades fall back into place. Her soft footsteps echoed in the room. The floorboards creaked under her. She slowly made her way back to Eunjin. Once there she crouched down and examined Eunjin's form more closely. The crowbar that surely had knocked her out lay discarded next to her.
Jissu eyed her with contempt. The things she had done for Eunjin, the people she had hurt. Good riddance for how she was now. Pitifully tied up like an animal. Should she wake Eunjin up just to gloat at her failure?
She picked up the crowbar hesitantly and felt its weight in her hands. Should she break a hand? Maybe a leg? Should she bash Eunjin's face in? Jissu swung the crowbar in the air.
No, she was going to let Eunjin get taken by the law. Where she would rot away all her days in prison.
Tossing the crowbar to the side, she reached over to Eunjin's back pocket and pulled out her phone. It didn't take her long to dial the police. When someone finally picked up she spoke shortly, "The person who kidnapped the idols is waiting for you," she rattled off the address of the building. Once she was done speaking she didn't even wait for the speachless officer to respond before she hung up.
It was time to disappear and good riddance.

Everything hurt. God, why did everything hurt so much? He just wanted to sleep.
Taeyong tried to turn over and get more comfortable but every movement gave him immense pain. Not to mention something was stabbing him in the arm. At least it was quiet.
But as Taeyong thought that his brain started to lift from the foggy space it was in. It wasn't quiet. His hearing was gone. Everything hurt because he had just, almost literally, been to the underworld and back. He was reminded of the Greek fable of Odysseus and his love. Unfortunately for Odysseus, he died. Whereas Taeyong had survived.
Barely, if the pounding in his head was any inclination. He let himself sit there a moment before he tried to crack one of his eyes open. Dear goodness, nope. He was just going to be blind and deaf because that light was way too bright.
Taeyong knew that he would have to open his eyes eventually because he couldn't live as a deaf and blind person. He wanted to see Ten's face again. With that thought Taeyong struggled to peek open one eye then the other one. For a couple moments the world was white and bare. Then, slowly, Taeyong started to see shapes around him.
The end of a bed, machine cords wrapping all across him. An empty chair to his right, and a curtain to his left. He blinked his eyes quickly as they adjusted.
He was alone. Where was Ten? Where was anyone?
Taeyong just sat there staring around for a bit before a thought dawned on him. If Ten wasn't here was he okay? What if despite everything that Taeyong had done to save Ten he had still failed. No, no. He couldn't think like that. A world without Ten was to dark.
After that though no matter how hard he tried to calm himself down, Taeyong could still feel his panic rising. Ten was in a coma somewhere and would never wake, Ten was dead. And the worst one of all was that Ten was with someone else. That thought hit Taeyong like a pile of rocks in his stomach. It was possible. Ten probably still didn't know that Taeyong's hearing was gone and thought he just had a broken wrist or something.
Suddenly the door opened and ripped Taeyong away from his thoughts. In walked Kun talking on the phone and holding an instant cup of coffee. His face lit up as he saw Taeyong. He spoke but Taeyong couldn't hear nor was he close enough to try to read Kun's lips.
Kun leaned back out the doorway and quickly peaked back in.
Taeyong could feel his heart drop but refused to listen to it. "Where is Ten?" His throat felt like thousands of ants had bitten it and clawed their way to his stomach. He imagined he sounded much the same.
Kun put the phone to his shoulder and this time spoke to Taeyong. he walked over quickly and held out the phone.
Taeyong shoved it away and looked out the window. Why did he even try to communicate. He looked over at Kun and just saw Kun putting his phone back into his pocket. Kun was speaking again. Slowly, he made his way over to the chair that was sitting beside Taeyong's bed.
"Is Ten okay?" Taeyong managed to scratch out. Maybe he had asked his first question to softly.
While Kun gives a lengthy and complicated answer that Taeyong can't follow, several nurses and doctors rush into the room. Kun stands and backs up as the doctors crowd around Taeyong. They were checking wires and reading machines. One nurse was speaking but Taeyong couldn't be sure she was speaking to him.
He looked at her mouth and made out one word, Tests.
Of course, they probably didn't know anything other than he was badly injured.
Taeyong settled himself in to let them work and to wait. Sooner or later Ten would have to come visit him right?
One doctor took a little instrument and put it into Taeyong's ears. There was more talk. More silence. Taeyong looked from doctor to doctor worriedly as they talked on and on.
Kun's face grew dark and confused as he listened to what Taeyong couldn't hear.
Finally When Taeyong thought he couldn't take another minute of this, s doctor pulled out a notepad and started to write down on it. He showed the notepad to Taeyong when he finished.
'My name is Dr. Kim. You came to us very injured and you've been asleep for some time now, almost a week. You have a broken wrist, a lot of head trauma, bruising and internal bleeding, and there is something wrong with your ears. We would like to do some tests so that we will know more.'
Taeyong nodded. He wasn't going to stop them from figuring out what was wrong with his ears.
They all turned to Kun and spoke shortly. Kun nodded back as he glanced at Taeyong.
Soon Taeyong was set in a wheelchair and being whisked away.
In the busyness, still Taeyong didn't know where Ten was.
