Splinter's Murderer

Raph's P.O.V ~WARNING: OVER EMOTIONAL RECORDS IN THIS CHAPTER~

Grief stabbed my heart like needles as I remembered what Leo did to Sensei last night. I can't believe it! Shredder mind controlled Leo and told him to kill him! Told Leo to kill him, why?! I start to think that it was partly my fault too. After Leo won the race I completely went off on him just because I was angry. Who does that?! Obviously the only person other than me was Shredder but I still feel bad. At least I did until the attack on us happened. But Mikey and Donnie are okay now, although if I ever see Leo's face again he'll be answering to me! A tear rolls down my cheek and I wipe it away and continued patrolling the city. I patrolled everywhere in my patrolling area that Donnie told me to take. My legs began feeling numb and my heart started thundering in my chest. Someone was following me. I look over only to see Leo standing there his body covered in blood and instead of his eyes being white and bloodthirsty looking, they were sapphire blue again while fear and guilt was in his gaze and dry tears stained on his face. I growled and paced towards him rage welling up inside me.

"Took you long enough to snap out of your control of Shredder, or is this a dirty trick?" I say my teeth baring like a dog curling it's muzzle into a snarl. I was so mad at him for killing Splinter. Leo remained silent for a moment his chest heaving like he was afraid to speak.

"Raph... I'm sorry. I-I didn't know what I was doing." Leo said a tear running down his face. I fought the urge to tackle him to the ground and yell. I didn't believe him.

"Well it sure didn't look like you were trying to fight it while you were cutting the life out of Splinter." I replied. Leo drooped down his head panting silently. I could hear his breath trembling and he looked back up his gaze filled with heartbreak.

"I'm sorry, I really didn't know what I was doing, I couldn't even see it." Leo said his voice breaking. I still didn't stop glaring at him. I sighed quietly trying to calm myself down. He was telling the truth but I could guess that he thinks I'll never forgive him.

"Let's go home, you have explaining to do to Donnie and Mikey." I said. Leo nodded briskly before both of us headed to the lair. We return home seeing Donnie and Mikey already sitting in the TV area until they noticed me coming in while Leo followed at my ankles.

"What's he doing here?!" Donnie demanded springing on his feet. Mikey stood up too his sky blue eyes narrowed like he was mostly confused.

"Why is he here Raph?" Donnie questioned putting his arms on his hips. Leo went to walk around me but I stepped in front of him seeing Donnie about to reach to his bo staff to attack him.

"He didn't mean to attack us Don, he was under Shredder's control with a brain worm." I explained finding myself completely forgiving Leo.

"Ha! Yeah like he so regrets it!" Donnie laughed. I growled at him about to say something until I feel Leo's hand on my shoulder and he paced toward Donnie.

"It's true, I told him myself." Leo said to him grief still in his tone. Donnie glared at him before putting his hand up to slap him until I rushed between them grabbing my brother's arm.

"Get off!" Donnie yelled. He got free of my grip and staggered backwards grunting. "Raph stop defending the killer here, he deserves to be punished!" he yelled. I heard a gasp come from Leo.

"No he doesn't! Stop blaming him for something that Shredder did!" I yell back.

"Killer has to be punished!" Donnie argued.

"No he doesn't! Leo didn't even know what he was doing, so stop declaring death on him!" I argued back. Donnie growled before he turned around heading into his lab slamming the giant doors shut. Mikey however just watched in horror looking speechless at what happened.

"You didn't have to do that Raph, I was trying to calm him down." Leo said to me. I turn around seeing shock in his gaze but I could tell he was trying to hide it.

"He wasn't going to talk to you without a fight first." I said to him.

"It's probably what I deserve." Leo replied. My heart dropped down my chest. I couldn't believe he was even saying that. He doesn't deserve to be punished in any way!

"No it isn't, if Donnie should be wanting to kill anyone it should be Shredder." I said. But Leo just walked into his room limping a little and closed the door. Man he's going to have a hard time getting Donnie to forgive him.
