The first day at a new school in a different state. I don't know anyone, I'm on my own. God, first days suck harder than a pornstar.
I hopped out of my little Honda Civic Hatchback and headed toward Franklin High School. That poor thing narrowly escaped my brother Austin. He painted the whole thing, with the exception of the black hood and bumpers, primer gray. His pair of speakers, twelves I think he called them, are still in the back but it's the only car I've got, so I'm not complaining.
As I was walking, I pass multiple expensive-looking cars but one in particular caught my eye. No, it had nothing to do with the guy sitting inside. You couldn't even see im through the tint. The shiny, black Acura NSX concept. This is like the one Robert Downey Jr. and Mark Ruffalo drove away in at the end of The Avengers. My eyes lit up at the sight but the guy in the car locked gazes with me. I quickly turned and started to walk away. I hear someone behind me and I tense at the feeling of a hand on my arm.
"I won't bite." I turned and stared wide-eyed at the at least six-foot-tall guy in front of me. "Like what you see?" He asked, flexing his muscles that were saran-wrapped in a gray t-shirt.
I didn't even attempt to hide my reaction. "Man, do you get your shirts were The Hulk gets his pants? How is that thing not cutting off circulation...." I stopped talking to prevent any further embarrassment.
He looked at me with amusement dancing in his sea green eyes. I probably could've melted right there and then. "I don't recognize you. You must be new. What's your name?" The tan, dark-haired male asked me.
"Avelon Derrickson. Who are you?"
"I'm Nikolai Greene, but you can call me Nik." He smiled at me and I kinda just stared at him.
"Okay, um, Nik. Could you show me where the Administrative Office is?" Nik nodded, the smile still apparent on his features, and started walking to the school.
After a flight of stairs, two lefts, and a right, we arrived at my desired destination. The Secretary gave me my timetable and locker number. She seemed like a nice lady but her nasally voice annoyed me a bit more than I could handle.
I was scared half to death by Nik when I walked out. "You didn't have to wait up for me. You probably have some friends that you'd like to meet up with or something. I'll manage on my own." I said awkwardly and tried to walk away from him. Before I could, he snatched the piece of paper from my hand. "Hey! Give that back!" I screeched.
"Not a chance." he replied, turning his back to me. I reach my hand around and he turns again. We continue this for a few minutes, me alternating arms and him being relentless, until I let out a frustrated sigh.
I practically throw my arms around him, trying to trap his arms and cover both sides. I am successful in my attempt but I feel him stiffen in my grasp. I immediately let go and step back, looking at the ground awkwardly. "Um, sorry."
"It's okay, I know every girl wants to touch me." A smug smirk is plastered to his face as he sees my bright red face. I take advantage of his distraction to snatch the timetable out of his hand and take off down the hallway.
I eventually found my locker and class, even managed to make it before the bell rang. I knew the teacher would excuse my tardiness with me being a new student entering his class three-quarters of the way through the year. I pick a seat in the back left, right next to the windows.
I don't notice that someone sat beside me until they cleared their throat. I turned to meet light brown-almost-hazel eyes. I absently noted the piercing adorning his left eyebrow.
"I think you're in my seat." The guy stated.
"Um, do we have assigned seats in this class?" I ask innocently.
