Kate Fuller
A shower sounded good right now, really good. So, as I ran the warm water and slipped the clothes off my body, I stepped into the water. It was so soothing, so relaxing, despite the circumstances, It reminded me of home.
After a couple of minutes, I got out of the shower, turning it off. I dried myself and wrapped the towel around my body. These brothers were insane. And at first i'd thought Richie was insane, but now i was beginning to think they're both as bad as each other. I needed to get out of here. I needed a plan.
"Oh God!", I exclaimed walking out to see Richie laid on the floor with blood the floor by his head.
"He's alive.", Seth spoke up from the couch. My eyes shot over to see him laid back on the couch, a beer in his hand and the TV remote in his other hand.
"But-", I was about to ask about the blood. Why? I had no idea. He was better of dead for my sake. One, it was one less person to fool in order to escape. And Two, I would more likely not get shot for doing something wrong.
"He had a noise bleed. It's common thing to happen when you get hit over the head with a gun.", Seth explained before i had the chance to ask a question.
I glanced back down to the seemingly lifeless body of a horrible man on the floor.
"Come and sit down.", Seth spoke in a mutter.
"No, I don't want too.",I shot back at him.I didn't feel safe. If he could knock his brother out, what would he do to me? I don't know where I got that spout of confidence from but I was thankful for it. I was sick of being the weak, young, stupid girl.
"I said, Sit the f*ck down.", Seth growled back at me.
And I did.
Although he was nicer than his younger brother, he was still a bad man. I guess, I keep forgetting that. I mean, he did, technically save my life. Which, still, I don't know if I should be angry about or thankful. Would I rather be dead or alive in this mess? That was a tricky question.
I just wanted to go home.
Seth's eyes slowly watched me as I took a seat on the couch opposite too him. For a couple of minutes, we just sat in silence. He drank his beer and kept his eyes on me the whole time. Which was, god help me, pretty hot.
"What happened to your mother?",Seth asked me. That's where the conversation left off before Jordan came home from the shop, and it all turned bad.
"She died. When i was a baby.", I spoke hesitantly. However, quickly, not wanting to piss him off.
"How?", Seth pried.
"She was killed.", I whispered, under my breathe. I hadn't spoke about this until my dad had told me last year. He had no choice but to tell me, even though he didn't want too. Although, I was stubborn, I didn't stop asking. But now, I wish I hadn't of asked.
Then, as I replied, Seth's gaze darkened. And he got up and left.
He just walked straight out the door.
Seth Gecko
"She was killed", Kate whispered hesitantly. And that's when my mind went dark. And I was taken back to that night, that horrible night 12 years ago.
Quickly, I stood up and left. I couldn't stay there.
"F*ck!", I yelled, punching my steering wheel when I climbed into my car. I closed my eyes and leaned back into the seat, trying to calm down. However, after a couple of seconds i screamed and punched the steering wheel. Again, and again, and again. Until i couldn't feel the pain anymore.
After around 15 minutes, I finally calmed down and lent my head down onto the steering wheel, taking deep breaths. It was impossible for her to be that baby. She was 15, it was 12 years ago. She would've been 3.
Maybe it was possible.
"F*ck!", I yelled in realization. Maybe, I should of killed her when I had the chance.
"I told you you should kill her.", Richie shot, opening the car door. Blood dried all over his noise before he wiped it away with the wet cloth he'd brought with him.
"Shut the f*ck up Richie.", I shot him a glare. Shoving him out the way to climb out the car, slamming the door behind me. "We're not killing her!", I yelled as he was about to speak again.
"But-"
"No!", I interrupted him, "I'm not stopping my train of thought to listen to your bullsh*t!", I muttered, heading back into the house. My eyes laying on Kate, now fully dressed.
"Can I go home yet?", Kate muttered, looking at me and my brother as we walked back in.
"No, you can't f*cking go home.", Richie glared at her.
"Stop shouting Richard.", I sighed, getting another beer.
"Stop shouting? We just kidnapped a child.", Richard's gaze burned through my skin.
"It's not the worst thing we've ever done.", I took a glance at him before looking over at Kate.
Kate was watching both of us as she sat on the couch, helpless.
A few hours later, Richie and I were sat on the couch watching the news. Kate had fallen asleep on one of the other couches.
Kate Fuller, long dark hair, blue eyes, 5 foot 2 inches.
Missing for 7 hours.
"Just great!", Richie hissed.
Two men spotted leaving Kate's boyfriend's home with Kate, leaving the teenagers boyfriend shot dead.
And that's when the drawings came- they were pretty spot on.
"We need to kill her.", Richard froze.
"No, f*ck that! How do we fix this?", i questioned, turning the TV off. I stood up, pacing around the room for what it seemed, hours. Richie had gone off to bed. Kate was still asleep. And I, I was lost in my mind. My deep, dark mind.
And that's when I realized. I needed to protect her. I owed her that much.
My eyes moved down to look over her face as she slept. I sighed, and took a deep breathe. I'd protect her at whatever cost. It was my job too. She deserved that much from me.
She was only a baby when I took her mother from her.
