Chapter 3

Lotha pov.

Everyone stared at me like I was crazy, which I kind of understand. I'm a fourteen-year-old, claiming that I am a mother of dragons. I looked over at Saphira and she gave me a toothy grin. "You may not believe me, ask Saphira?" I say and everyone looked at the blue dragon. She confirmed it with a nod, and everyone starred back at me."Eka otherúm" (I swear) I say in the ancient language, and erogan seems surprised that I knew that specific language.

I was being escorted to my room, a young maid around ten was leading me, she had a cute smile, but she was really shy. She led me to a door and opened it, I walked in and saw a room fit for a princess. "Technically your a queen, or aphla." I smiled at eldrvarí "Yes I guess your right". I run towards the bed after the maid closes the door and jump on it, it was...so fluffy!!!! I felt eldrvarí laughing at my silliness. I ran over to my door and lock it, and ran back to the middle of the room"Moi" (Change). I felt my bones shift, and I felt my blood boil. I opened my eyes and I saw eldrvarí's form. He has pictured himself as small as a dog to fit in this room comfortable. I retreated to the back of his senses and let him take control, and I fell asleep feeling happy.

I woke to the sound of knocking and notice I am sleeping in my bed in my human form. I jump up and open the door, The young maid was out there, and she came in quickly. She chooses a dress for me to wear, but I declined and got a grey tunic and light brown trousers. She braids my hair, I thank her. "What is your name?" I ask and gives me a small smile. "My name is rue, miss," she says without eye contact. "Hey my name is Lotha, you don't have to be formal with me, call me lotha," I say and she finally looks me in the eyes and smiles. She walked over to my closet and I notice she has a limp, but her skirt hides her feet. "Rue, are you hurt, why are you limping," I say and she stiffens. she lifts her dress up and her entire leg is twisted. "They cant fix it since I was born with it, and the healers are not that powerful to do help me," she says and she starts to cry. I get up quickly and give her a hug "Hey let me see." I say softly while bending down. "Heill" (Heal), she winced and watched her leg reform to a straight new leg. Her mouth is gaped open and she starts to cry happy tears. She immediately jumps on me and hugs me. "Thank you...thank you" she repeats that over and over for a minute or two "Its okay, hey do you know where the healer station is for the soldiers?" I ask and she nods.

Rue immediately shows me where it is, and I thank her and she runs off to show her family her leg. I smile her way "You are so kind Lotha" I felt eldrvarí smile at me mentally. I walk into the tent and I immediately see around thirty men on cots groaning in pain or sleeping. "May I help you?" a lady ask while walking to me, "yes...who is the youngest here?" I ask and she looks strangely at me, and she points to a cot in the back. I walk towards it, past the groaning men and I see a boy around fifteen in bed sweating like crazy. "Hey," I say softly while kneeling on the floor next to him, he looks up to me and smiles. "Hey what is wrong are you sick?" I ask and he points to his leg. I pull the sheet up and see from his knee down both of his legs were gone. He looked so sad when he looked at his legs. I put my hand on his legs "Heill" I command and I see his limbs growing. He growls in pain a little but starts to smile. Finally, his legs are back he starts to laugh loudly. I felt everyone stares at us, and he laughs more. He immediately jumps out of bed and lifts me into a bone-crushing hug. He swings me around like a rag doll for a couple seconds and his happiness makes me smile. He puts me down and I heard a nurse gasp. She ran over and her eyes looked like they were going to pop out. I walk out of the scene and look around, I saw a kull laying on a blanket on the ground and I walked over. He had a deep slash on his stomach, and he looked like he was hacking up blood. I step towards him and touch his shoulder. He looks over at me curiously "What you need little miss." he says softly. I grab his hand "Heill" I command and I heard him gasp. I open my eyes and see he was sitting up and his cut was gone. He smiles at me and gives one in return. I walk away into the middle of the room and noticed a lot of healers were looking at me strangely. I sat down in the middle of the room and crisscrossed my legs. "Heill" I chant over and over. I felt a little energy drain from my body but not much. I felt my energy spread across the room, and I heard a bunch of gasps and some crying. I open my eyes and see everyone was standing up and checking some part of their body and smiling. I stand up but immediately felt a little dizzy, probably since I teleported yesterday. Everyone started to jump in joy and some came over to me and helped me up then hugged me.

All the men laughed and smiled and lifted me up and they ran out of the tent, the men immediately found their families and I was still on the shoulder of the kull I healed. I was so happy "You know what eldrvarí let's heal everyone!" I felt his smile and I felt his energy pool into me. I closed my eyes and search the minds of the sick and wounded. I found five other healer tents and some sick in their own tents and I fed them the energy "Heill " I commanded softly. I opened my eyes and see the kull looking at me "What did you do little one" he says, and I smile "I healed everyone in camp." his face immediately sprouted a smile and I start to laugh. I jumped down easily and the men I healed told their families I was the one that healed them. They smiled and thanked me, and I even got hugs.

I was called into the throne room before dinner and I opened the doors to see the council, nasuada and erogan and Saphira. I bow towards them and stood still. "We know you healed all those men lotha, which is physically impossible for your age, so we are suspicious if you work for Galbatorix?" an elf asked and I smile "I do not work for him, I am with the good side, the varden. If you need information, I think I could help you." I say smirking and their faces go serious. "Galbatorix knows the most powerful word in the ancient language, his dragons mind his conscious was ripped out, Galbatorix took over his dragons mind and made him evil." I start to cry know and erogan seems to notice "Why are you crying?" he asked with a look of confusion on his face "Because he is my son like Saphira is my daughter, I might not physically lay a dragon egg, but I made it and developed inside the eggshell. I am their aphla, and my son had the goodness taken out of him." I say and wipe my tears from my eyes. "Now Being here has given me a different perspective on life...and how fragile it is, so I will go kill the king myself...so no lives are takin," I say sternly but the rooms immediately starts to fill with arguing. "You can not stand up to him he will kill you in seconds, let the adults do the work," the same elf says and I felt eldrvarí take over me "You dare insult my little one you elf." I know my eyes turned black and I know I have a scowl on my face. "Lotha is the only one who can stop this war without further bloodshed you, idiot. Also, she might have a fourteen-year-old body but I am millions of years old, child." eldrvarí hisses I felt myself gaining control and bow towards the council "Now if you excuse me I have to call my dragon." I say and walk out. I immediately hear many footsteps behind me, the entire council and the queen and erogan and sapphire are following me to see my dragon. I step outside and walk towards an empty field away from the tent and I notice a lot of soldiers and villagers are following the crowd. I stop and turn around "Can you please back up?" I say loudly and everyone backs up a couple feet. "I don't hear or see a dragon...she is lying" yelled the elf "Actually he has been with you guys the entire time...everyone meet eldrvarí," I say and I felt my dragon take over and I felt my bones brake and shift. I grew to my full capacity and opened my eyes. Everyone was shocked and I grinned "My people I say a last farewell for I am going to kill the king." I say loudly mentally and everyone seemed startled.

I jump into the air and when I was high enough I let out a deafening roar, loud enough for even Galbatorix to hear my war cry.
