A/N: This chapter is fairly long, so I've put it into 2 parts. c:
The air was cool and light in the pool room as Charlotte lay on the deck chair beside the large pool with her eyes closed. Jack had asked her to spend the day with him, so as they could enjoy his day off, and she gladly obliged. As she heard footsteps, she opened her eyes. On the opposite side of the pool, she saw Jack in nothing but his swimming trunks, and immediately she felt flustered. His body was lightly tanned and it was lean and broad, his abs carved from bronze. Charlotte closed her eyes again and leaned back, but then he called out her name.
"Charlotte, aren't you going to have a little swim? Or just sit there all day tanning yourself?"
She laughed and shook her head, watching him. He carefully placed a towel down on the side, and then positioned himself to the deep end of the pool before he stretched out. She watched as his skin pulled against his muscular frame, and then he leaped into the crystal clear water. There was a light splash, and she giggled. He pushed himself back above the water and flicked his thick hair back, out of his face. Jack swam over to the edge and propped himself up against the stone floor.
"Come on, get in." Charlotte looked at him and then sat upright, suddenly feeling self conscious about herself. She knew he wasn't paying any attention to any possible flaws that she thought she had, and once she stood up, she pushed her average sized chest out as she sauntered to the edge of the pool. "Come on," he laughed. "I don't bite." Jack winked as he swam a little away from her. She sat down on the edge of the pool and dipped her manicured toes into the water. It was just as she expected — freezing cold. Her head lifted up as she inhaled deeply and swirled her legs around as she submerged herself up to her knees, still sat on the edge of the pool.
"It's so cold, I don't know if I want to get in."
Jack vanished under the water again, and she carefully poised herself to slide in. Within seconds, she felt two arms around her calves, and she was immediately pulled underneath the still water. Her eyes were held shut as she felt him press against her, and pull her up from under the water. His left arm snaked around her waist whilst his right hand pushed the hair gently out of her face.
"I couldn't resist," he laughed. Their faces were so close that for a moment, she thought that they'd kiss. She could smell his aftershave still, and he pulled her closer for a moment. "Can you swim?" His voice changed to something low and sultry, his breath highlighting every syllable.
"Yeah, I can swim."
She felt her head begin to close the gap between them, and he let her go, diving under the water once more and resurfacing at the other end of the pool. Charlotte grabbed the ties on her pink bikini top and made sure they were fastened before she began slowly making her way back to the edge.
"Don't get out, again," he said cheerfully. "It's a great day, and if you're looking for a tan, the water will probably help you get browner faster."
"I'm not getting out forever, I just want my drink."
Jack made his way back to her as she leaned against the edge. Within seconds, he'd pulled her back into the middle of the pool and she could feel his chiseled chest pressed against her back. "How about I ask for some cocktails? It's five o'clock somewhere," he whispered into her ear.
She turned to face him and lay her hands on his shoulders. "That sounds like a plan," she laughed. "I bet my makeup is running all over my face. I didn't think you'd pull me under!"
"Mistakes happen," he laughed as he wiped a finger across her cheek. "You somewhat resemble a panda."
"No I do not! I should get out and sort my makeup, really."
