Jungkook's POV
The moment I got into our apartment i fell on the couch and remained there until Yoongi came back, half an hour past midnight.
"What happened, are you alright?" He asked me when he saw me lying down on the couch with my face buried inside the pillows and my right hand and leg touching the ground. I left out a groan and turned my head 90 degrees to look at him.
"I'm fucked up!" I said and buried my head inside the pillows again. Yoongi sighed placed his bag on the floor and sat in the couch close to my head.
"What's wrong?" He asked me.
-I have all these memories that keep torturing me, and I also have a crush on Jimin, I just kissed him and I'm waiting for his reply.
"Nothing... I am going on a trip with my Uni in Jeju Island." I said and was surprised myself, at how random I could be.
"Wow, you poor thing!" said Yoongi ironically. "Do you have money?" He asked after a short pause.
"Yes my parents agreed to give me the money for the tickets etc.-"
"No I mean do you have money for your expenses there?" He asked me and I didn't reply. I didn't really have any money left. Yoongi pulled his bag closer to him and pulled out his wallet. He took out a fifty dollar bill. "Will you be okay with this?" He asked me showing me the bill that he held with his index and middle finger, practically giving it to me.
I shook my head negatively and he pulled away his hand. He seemed to be looking at his wallet for more.
"I don't need it." I replied. Yoongi didn't insist on me taking it and I cursed inside. I did need that money.
"When are you leaving?" He asked me.
"This Sunday..." I muttered. Yoongi got up and went to the kitchen with slow steps.
"Did you eat?" He asked and couldn't hold back a yawn. I didn't reply because I realized it was my turn to cook and I had completely forgotten about it. "Did you cook?" He rephrased the question.
"No".
"Did you order anything?" He asked looking around at the empty kitchen.
"No" I repeated. He'll yell at me, I thought and clenched my fists.
"So you didn't eat?" He asked again.
"Yes" I lied. Yoongi sighed again and surprised that he didn't yell at me I turned my head a bit to look at him. He looked... sad. Beneath his eyes, two dark circles were forming from the exhaustion and his lips had formed a thin line, as if he was trying to hide his sorrow.
"I can make an omelette if you want to." He said as he took out a package with eggs.
"You don't have to" I said and sat up on the sofa. He had his back turned to me as he was ready to crack the eggs and throw them in the frying pan. This whole situation had created a knot on my throat. Yoongi let his hands fall down again.
"Are you alright?" He asked me again in a lower tone that I almost didn't hear him.
"What about you?" I returned the question.
"I'm tired!" His voice came out wobbly.
"Me too... this thing is killing me!" I muttered the last part under my breath so he wouldn't hear it. He packed the eggs again and placed them back in the fridge. He leaned against it and studied me with his eyes. I did the same thing until I couldn't take it anymore. I ran inside the bedroom and locked the door behind me.
I didn't let my tears to come out. I forced them inside again and fell on the bed. I slept with my clothes on that night, without even getting under the sheets.
The next day when I woke up Yoongi wasn't home, even though he didn't have an early shift. He had prepared breakfast and he had gone missing. I was relieved to be honest. I ate my cookies with my warm, not hot anymore coffee and enjoyed the silence that overruled the apartment. It was 9:30 when I heard the next door opening and then someone locking it. For a moment I wished to hear a knock on our door but the only thing that came to my ears was the sound of someone's footsteps as he going down the stairs.
"It's better that way". I mumbled. I didn't really want to interact with anyone that morning. Yoongi's eyes the night before, had been devastating for me. But I had to leave the apartment. I had to go and give the money for the trip my department organized. But I really didn't want to move.
I grabbed my phone from the bench that went around the kitchen and dialed Yugyeom. After a few short duuuts he picked up.
"Hey!" I said surprised that he answered. He usually has his phone on airplane mode.
"You sound surprised". He joked. I was.
"Yeah, you don't usually pick up your phone. Anyways, can you do me a favor?" I asked him.
"Sure thing!" He replied and I smiled unintentionally from how immediate his reply was.
"Could you give the money for the trip for me? You can come over here- no you can't I don't have them... I can meet you in front of the bank and give them to you. I don't feel like coming to the classes today!" I explained.
"Not happening!" He replied again as quickly as before.
"Hey whyyy?" I whined in the microphone.
"You need to sign some papers and some other stuff. The point is that I can't do it for you. What happened?" He asked without changing his tone even one bit.
"Pff..." I sighed. "I don't even know myself, I feel exhausted!" I said
"Look, I'll be in front of your block of flats in a ten minutes. Meet me at the front door!" He replied and hung up.
"Huh?" I said surprised but no one heard me.I placed the phone back on the bench and smiled. Yugyeom always understood when I needed to talk to someone, and he would drag me out to talk to him even if I was on my deathbed. I got dressed and after I locked the door I headed downstairs.
