Welcome to my world, full of supernatural creatures of all types and just ripping at the edges with magic. The Nevernever is my home, and will always be as long as I keep myself away from the dragons. Yes, it sounds normal for a werewolf like me to say that, but what you don't know is that I'm the daughter of one. I'm the first child of Queen Ember of the Dragons and King Alexander of the Werewolves. Strange isn't it, for my mother being a dragon and me just being a werewolf, but the only child that got the mixture was the youngest of the three of us, Karou. She is off somewhere on her new journey with Akiva, one of the dragon nobles son's. He is pure dragon unlike Karou, but he can do what he wants. I'm more worried about the destiny that the Ancient Dragons keep telling my parents about. They keep saying that I'm going to marry a dragon of noble blood, but that isn't what I want. I want to marry a werewolf by the name of Lucas, he is my true love.(In truth I'm only dating him to keep my parents from bringing dragon noble suitors to visit with me) Anyway, where are my manners ? My name is Arya, and I am nineteen going on twenty years old. I already have my own home, but of course since I'm a princess I have the best home in the kingdom (Other than my parents). My quarters are about one-hundred and eighty miles away from my parents castle, but it's much smaller of course. Soon I'll be at the throne, ruling over this strange kingdom. "Your majesty, we have a special guest waiting for you in the main hall." "Thank you Gandalf, you are dismissed." My butler leaves the room, and I head for the main hall.
"Arya, I'm so glad I could stop by here before I head over to my next job." My little sister hugs me, and we share smiles as we sit down to discuss why she is here. "What an unexpected surprise seeing you two, but who is your new friend ?" The stranger smiles and waves at me like I'm a lowly commoner. "This is Essana, she has helped a lot on our journey, hasn't she Akiva ?" He smiles, and laughs. "Yes she has, she's gotten us out of a lot of tight spots, we wouldn't be here without her." Essana blushes, clearly not used to them saying such things about her. "Nice to meet you Essana, I must thank you for keeping my little sister from getting herself killed." Essana shakes my hand confidently. "The pleasure is all mine, your majesty. I am very happy to help in any way I can." "Well, why don't we go get something to eat for breakfast shall we ?" We all stand up, and they follow me to the kitchen.
Time skip ten minutes...
"So what is your next job Karou ?" I ask as we are having sister time in the garden. "I have to go to a place that I've never heard of before, I was wondering if you could help me with this matter." I'm surprised at how she kept this hidden all this time, usually she tells no matter who is standing there if she needs my help. Maybe this job might be even too much for her to handle that she didn't want her lover and new friend to know how scared she is. "What's wrong deary ? You usually don't ask these kinds of questions in private, then tell me what you need to find." I pulled her off the trail, and over to a grove of willows to sit under one of them. Their branches swaying in the breeze made the sound of moaning, and it created a feeling of calmness. I would always come out here when I needed to think clearly. "I'm not sure if I should do this one. It sounds like something that you would have trouble dealing with. The place that I have been told to find is the City of Bones, and what I need to do there is even more chilling than the name of the location. I have to stop a civil war from happening, doesn't that sound like what mom and dad had to do in order to save our world ?" I gasp in shock, and hug my sister contently to comfort her. "I've heard rumors of this place, but not much is known about it. I can go and check the archives, but there is also a 'friend' of mine who would be able to help pinpoint the exact location." She smiles happily, and we continue our sister time.
