It felt like days, weeks, months, that we were digging into the sand. What baffled me was how we were even breathing underneath all this sand, and even more so I was worried about everyone else. Were we all still together, and if not, where were they. Soon though, I poked through a hole, and found myself looking up at a large castle. When I looked around, I found Akiva looking at me, then as we stared, everyone else popped their heads from the sand. Akiva helped my out, while everyone else gathered themselves. "Is everyone here ?" Oreius asked as we reassembled. Jackson did a head count, and answered Oreius' question with a nod. "Good, shall we head to the castle now ? I'm sure King Brimstone is awaiting your presence." Then, we see the creatures that inhabit this strange and unknown place. Big and small roam the streets, from giant flyers to small runners we see all sorts of Chimaera. As we walk to the castle, Oreius explains that there are different species differentiating the Chimaera from one another. "Yes we are all the same species, but we are different races. Like dogs from the human world, they are all of the species of canine, but they are of different breeds." As we walk on, he points out some Chimaera and name their breed. "Those are Kirin, they are beautiful in their own right, but they see everyone else as more important. So if you ever need an ally in the Chimaera kingdom, these would be the best people for the part." These Kirin were beautiful, and magnificent. With large bat wings, Antelope antlers and legs from the knee down, they were the center of attention. Then he brings our attention to very large Chimaera, who are wearing armor, carrying shields and swords on their belts. "These are Dashnag, and as you can see, they are the royal guard that protect the castle, and the King's family." The Dashnag were very intimidation, with the heads, legs, and arms of saber-toothed tigers. Stripes and spots where there is fur, and canine's so big they could take down a full grown African bull elephant. "They are here to protect the kingdom from forces you have come to investigate." Oreius' statement catches my attention, but he continues to walk towards the castle doors before I can ask him what he meant. "Is it just me or is everything starting to make sense ?" Essana asks from behind Akiva. "What do you mean ?" Jackson asks curious. "This kingdom is the one that defeated the Angels, they helped king Draco the first defeat the Angels, and allowed the Dragon empire to take over the responsibility of overseeing the Nevernever." Oreius turns around, and smiles happily. It seems that Essana was right, and that now we knew how Draco defeated the Angels. "Took you guys long enough to figure it out." Oreius says as we entered the castle's throne room. Arya was speechless, and Jackson was beside himself with how he hadn't seen it before. Akiva was just as surprised as me, yet we just stood there looking at Arya and Jackson like they were idiots. Mean while, Essana was talking with Oreius about how she put the pieces together to finally understand why we were here, and why we were shown such kindness being Dragons, Werewolves, and a runaway Dark Elf. "It seems that we have the same goals, and King Brimstone wanted to share his opinions with you. He also wants to have a partnership with you, to help with your goals." Oreius' words hit a sensitive spot on Karou, but a feeling that she hasn't felt in a long time, Hope.
