"Karou, how long are we going to be walking ?" Karou sighs out of annoyance because that's the fourth time Arya has asked that question. "Until sunset Arya, it's only been an hour and you're already complaining." Jackson walks up behind Karou to walk a steady pace with her. "Is she like this all the time ?" "Pretty much, yeah." He sighs, because he knows how long it will take to get to our set destination. Akiva walks on my right holding my hand, and Essana is trailing the group to watch out for our six. Jackson falls back to Arya, and they start a conversation. "Akiva, what are we going to do about Arya, I'm sure she won't be happy about sleeping on the ground." He looks at me with pure praise, and smiles. "I guess she'll have to deal with it, because we don't have any tents, or sleeping bags, just a few blankets. I can make it more comfortable by making a fire but that's it." I smile back at him, and we continue walking quietly for the rest of the day.
The next day, we all wake up to hear Arya screaming her face off. Jackson jumps up, startled trying to find the threat, and Akiva grabs me, and we shoot up into the sky. "SPIDER !!!" Jackson sighs relieved it wasn't anyone trying to hurt Arya, but Akiva is annoyed by the sudden screaming over just a spider. "Princess, maybe you should learn how to accept the things that live in forests, we were once just like them, living in places like this." Arya slaps Jackson, and she huffs at him. "I hate spiders, that one was on my face. How would have you reacted to seeing an eight legged creature blocking out your vision ?" Akiva lands next to Essana, and we sit and wait for these two lovebirds to to stop arguing like an old married couple. "Okay, fine I get it, but you didn't have to scream like that, maybe tapped my shoulder so we could have done this quietly. Anyway, let's calm down before we attract any unwanted attention." Arya sits down, and Jackson goes off into the forest with Akiva to make sure we didn't get any unwanted attention while that was going down. When Jackson and Akiva get back, we start off again in pursuit of the City of Bones.
