Fighting Between the Mills

1 - New Beginnings

Hi, I'm Leah Macy, I'm 15 and I recently got transferred to a new High School called Rockwater High.

I only left my previous school since my dad got a new job, and yes, I live with a single dad. I appreciate everything that he's done for me, even though it was tough work for him.

Anyways, we only arrived at our new home last night, leaving me only a couple hours to sleep, unpack and get changed for this morning.

A new day for me begins. I plopped off my bed and made my way to my wardrobe in an attempt to make myself presentable to many new faces. Crossing my fingers I can at least make one friend today.

As I waltzed towards my closet, I found my new attire in an M&S bag and put them on. Course with the tags taken off, I don't want to become that weird idiot. After fitting on my uniform, I sat at my vanity and did my hair in French platts, god I'm good at this. Followed by the light makeup of mascara and lipgloss.

Giving a final look in the mirror of my final get-up, I made my way downstairs to see my dad preparing sandwiches.

"Hey sweet, your breakfast is on the table" My dad smiled at me while he was cooking the bacon on the grill.

"Thanks dad! Smells good in here!" I replied as I sat down on a high chair at the kitchen table preparing to chow down on my breakfast.

Right opposite of me, my dad sat down with his own breakfast and we ate in peace.

"Do you want me to drop you off at school soon? Saves you the time to walk" My dad chuckled

"Sure please, you also made me lunch too right?"

"Yes I did," He winked as he finished his meal.

Once I ate my own meal, I cleaned up after my dad and we met up in the living room putting our shoes on, as we prepared to go to school.

We left the house, and instantly as my dad turn on the car, we were screaming all the songs that came on the radio. 

So far my day is going well.
