"why cant i be homeschooled?" jennie complained to her mother while stuffing random books in her black and pink backpack.
"the school invited you to be there and it's only for smart people so i gladly accepted the offer."
"you could've asked me first! having to move back here is already stressing me out." jennie groaned in frustration.
"what's so bad having to move back to your home town? it wasnt like we were gonna stay in new zealand for the rest of our lives. besides, dont you miss jungkook?"
that name. jeon jungkook. he was the only reason why she didn't want to come back here. she was too scared to see him. ever since jennie and her mother moved to new zealand, she never contacted jungkook. it's been almost 8 years.
"of course i miss him. it's just that...i feel guilty for leaving him without saying goodbye and now that im back here, IM TOO SCARED TO SEE HIM. he's probably in the same school YOU transferred me in." jennie argued.
"that's not my problem jenjen. ill be in the car waiting. but you have to walk home after school okay?" her mother walked out.
jennie rolled her eyes and stomped her foot. she went towards a mirror and observed herself for a minute. she fixed her straight long brown hair and sighed.
"would he even remember me?" she whispered to herself. her thoughts were interrupted by the sound of a car honking. she quickly grabbed her backpack and headed out the door.

"have a great day! dont do drugs! make good choices!" her mother yelled out to jennie who was covering her face in embarrassment while rushing inside to the school building.
because jennie was very clumsy and didn't know where she was going, she bumped into someone. "ouch." a black haired girl groaned in pain.
"im so sorry! are you okay?" jennie stood up immediately and reached out her hand waiting for the black haired girl to take it.
"it's fine-are you new? i've never seen you around." she stood up with the help of jennie's hand.
"i just transferred from new zealand. im jennie." "ji eun. but you can call me iu."
