after a few minutes admiring the cute boy, jennie awkwardly coughed to get his attention. he turned around with a surprised expression on his face. "you haven't changed one bit." the small girl chuckled and pointed to the book. before he was going to turn back around to ignore, he noticed her leg was all fucked up. clumsy as always. he thought.
"you should go to the nurse's room and get that cleaned up." jungkook said and continued reading his book. "hm?" jennie looked down and realized that her knee was scraped up. she panicked a bit because she didn't like the sight of blood. jungkook watched her as she was freaking out, but didn't want to show any signs that he cared. he was still upset.
she was waiting for the tall boy to help her get to the nurse's room, but he didn't even look worried for her.
so that's how we're gonna play. fine, let's play. jennie frowned.
"oWwWwW!" the cat eyed girl yelped in 'pain.' she grabbed her knee forcing more blood to come out. everyone was staring, wondering what was going on. "it hurtsssss!" she dramatically fell to the ground as if she couldn't walk anymore. "what am i going to dooo??" she asked touching her wound. she started to pout and fake tears came out of her eyes. jungkook scoffed. this girl. unbelievable.
"are you going to help her or stand there like an idiot??" a student asked the cold guy. everyone gave dirty looks to the boy right next to the girl who was acting like she was gonna die. jungkook couldn't handle all the stares so he put the book back into the shelf and went to jennie.
he leaned in and whispered, "you owe me." his hand reached out waiting for the small girl to take it. she saw the veins from his hand that went up to his arm. it was quite attractive to her but she kept quiet and turned a bit red from her thought.
once she got up she started fake limping to the door following jungkook. they were alone in the halls. "you don't have to pretend anymore. i know your little tricks." "i don't wanna walk. carry me." she showed a little aegyo. the taller boy looked at her in shock. he never thought in a million years jennie would do aegyo to him. and that's when he knew that she would do anything at this point to get her best friend back.
"when did you start acting all cutesy?"
"when i want something. and i want you to carry me." jennie pouted.
"how about, no?" he savagely replied and continued walking, leaving jennie behind.
"YAH jungkook!" she yelled and gave him a deadly glare. the fluffy haired smiled to himself. now that's the jennie i know. he turned around to see pleading eyes from the small girl. he couldn't manage himself to say no to that. he jogged back to her and bend down so that she could get on his back.
jennie smiled brightly and took no hesitation getting on top of the tall boy wrapping her arms gently around his neck. the scent of vanilla filled his nose and flashbacks immediately flooded jungkook's mind.
"jennie, im 10. of course im strong!"
"whatever."
"YAH!"
the black haired boy began feeling sad and kept his head low while walking. "are you okay?" jennie went closer to his neck and saw a gloomy expression on her best friend's face. "whatever." anger took over him again and quickly headed to the nurse's office.

"her knee is scraped and needs treatment. ill be going now. bye." he put jennie down in front of the office, but before he can walk away, the smaller girl grabbed his wrist. "please dont go." she begged and panicked a bit. jennie hates the infirmary. she doesn't trust anyone when it comes to nurses or doctors. she hates it all. in situations like this, she doesn't want to be alone.
jungkook sighed heavily knowing how scared she was. they entered a room the nurse assigned and left them alone for a second having jennie thinking that the lady was going to get the supplies.
"what's taking that woman forever? this cut is probably infected already. im gonna die!" jennie said as she sat on the medical chair.
"it's been infected ever since you started pulling that little stunt on me." jennie looked at the tall boy who was leaning on the wall with his arms crossed. he looked so serious she was a little intimidated by his presence at the moment.
"can you help me?? i dont know what to do." she leaned back on the chair and closed her eyes in frustration. her leg is throbbing in pain now and she regrets messing with the cut earlier.
she immediately opened her eyes from a cold touch. the tall boy was now on one knee letting her leg rest on the other.
jungkook was treating her wound. she was very surprised at his actions. she couldn't help but stare at his flawless face. god really took his time on this one. she thought.
he looked up at the smol girl. "all done." the fluffy haired boy stood up and grabbed his backpack.
"jungkook." "what?" "im sorry." "okay."
he opened the door about to leave, but the cat eyed girl ran to the door and closed it. he gave out a heavy sigh with an annoyed expression on his face. she leaned on the door to prevent him from leaving. "jennie we're gonna be late-" "what do you mean okay?" "i mean okay." "so like we're friends again?"
jungkook scoffed and shifted his tongue on the other side of his mouth. (IFYKYK that shit makes me weakkkk asf)
"i cant ignore you forever right? we're classmates. and only classmates."
those words shot through jennie's heart. she was stunned. he gently pushed her to the side and headed out the door. it's fine. it's fine. she'll get over it. the tall boy kept telling himself. he genuinely felt bad for having those words coming out of his mouth, but it's too late. it is what it is.
the bell rang and jennie slowly went out of the room. she spotted the nurse that was supposed to treat her. she was on her phone watching pewdiepie playing minecraft the whole time. "thanks for your help! the hospitality here is great. truly." jennie yelled out with sarcasm.
the nurse smiled and told her coworkers, "those two needed a moment. what can i say. im a real life cupid."
