Chapter 21

I tried texting Gavin the whole ride home. I was starting to get very worried.

(Me) Gavin?

(Me) Gavin, are you okay?

(Me) Gav! How's Rose?

(Me) send me a pic of her

(Me) send me a selfie?

(Me) Gavin please answer

"He still not picking up?"

I sighed. "I'm sure he's alright..." Barbara sighed. I could hear the doubt and worry in her voice. Her and Gav have been friends for years. I'm sure she was just as worried as I was.

We pulled up in my driveway, and I noticed that my home didn't have a door. "What the fuck?!" I yelped.

"Holy..." Lindsay said in disbelief as she slowly stopped the car. I quickly jumped out and walked to the door. It had been beaten in.

I placed my hand on the doorframe. "No..." I whispered. "Lindsay!"

"Yes?"

"Call Mike. They could still be here..."

Barbara clung onto my arm. "Come on Ally... We need to get you out of here!"

"No. I need to make sure Gavin and Rose are okay." I pulled my arm out of her grasp and walked inside. I heard a large crash come from Rosie's room upstairs. "OH MY GOD!" I took off running.

"ALISSA!"

I ran upstairs and through the hall. "GAVIN?! ROSIE?!"

I heard groaning coming from Rosalie's room. "ANYBODY!" I saw that there was a chair locking the door shut. Someone was trapped inside. I pulled the chair away and flung open the door.

I then stood there frozen. I felt my body go completely numb. "Gavin..." I mouthed.

Gavin was badly beaten, and he was restrained. I ran to his side and started pulling at the rope. He groaned loudly.

I pulled the cloth out of his mouth and kissed him. "Oh my gosh! Are you alright?"

"A...Ally!" He coughed a few times.

"Gavin! Gavin please!" I tugged at the ropes again, finally freeing his hands. I helped him sit up, as he bent foreword for take the ropes off his ankles.

"Ally! I'm so sorry!" He was crying.

"Is Rosie alright? Where is she?"

"Al-"

I shot up quickly. "RO-"

Gavin grabbed my hand and yanked me back down. "Ally, she can't hear you."

My mind immediately clicked to the worst possible situation. "No. No. NO!" I grasped my hands in my hair and screamed.

"Ally!" He pulled his arms around me. "Alissa! I'm so sorry that I couldn't protect her. I tried my hardest, but..." His voice cut off.

"No! No she's here!" That monster didn't kill my daughter. HE DID NOT KILL MY BABY GIRL!

"Ally I'm sorry. They took her."

"What?"

"Sit down."

I sat down on the couch watching Rosie sleeping away. She was so peaceful. I tapped my foot and waited for a reply from Ally. God, I love her so much!
