Chapter 3: Wide awake

I open my eyes slowly, my head is hurting and I feel nauseous, this is the hangover from hell!

As I focus on the ceiling light, I realise that this isn't my room, I look around slowly, mindfull of my delicate condition, nothing appears to be familiar, where the hell am I?!!

I try to recall events from last night, last thing I remember is being at the night club dancing with Amanda.

I hear noises coming from somewhere off past the living room doorway, I gingerly move my body to a sitting position, Oh my word, where are my clothes?! Why am I wrapped in a blanket?! Just as I was about to stand up, Kai popped his head round the doorway "ready for breakfast?" He smiled as I nodded my head, regretting it immediately as my head began to bang like a drum. The coffee was more than welcome, it's the food I'm wary of, although it looks delicious my stomach may not appreciate it, I try a little of the bacon first, that seems to be OK, next I try the square sausage, such a delicacy here in Scotland, that too was fine, so I decide to continue with the egg, black pudding and dumpling, so far so good, Kai has been watching me all along and is amused by my actions, "what's so amusing?" I ask him feeling a little peeved. "Oh nothing much, just enjoying the view" he said, to which I granted him a smile.

I like this new me, the hangover not so much though.

After clearing my plate, I shifted uncomfortably in my seat "Kai where are my clothes? May I use your bathroom to freshen up please?" Kai immediately got up, leaving the room, I looked around me, this kitchen has got to be the most luxurious I have ever seen, everything is monochromatic, steel or chrome, black marble or flint, it's a beautiful design with masses of space, my kitchen looks tiny in comparison.

Kai returns with my clothes and hands me a bundle of fresh fluffy towels, he takes my hand and leads me to the guest bathroom as it clearly states on the plaque on the door. That too is luxurious, how I wish I could afford to live in a place like this, again I wonder to myself what Kai does for a living, I really must ask him.

After spending almost an hour in the bathroom, I head back to the living room, Kai is watching sport on TV, I sit next to him and he turns to me with a smile, "you smell delicious" he winks at me, I don't know what to say, how do I react to him, I feel kind of awkward, "Why thank you kind Sir" was my response, how lame am I?! Come on Lily, make the effort.

With my head bowed down towards my chest, I tilt my head to the left looking at Kai, he is so fit! I make eye contact with him and give him a lopsided grin, he responds by inching closer to me and leans in for a kiss, I immediately wrap my arms around his neck as we play tongue wars, needless to say he won.
