What do you mean I have no chance

Luna's POV

"C'mon we'll do it anyway I don't care if you say no" "I have to go it's past Midnight Cari is coming soon" "You actually believe in the 'Cari the Dark One' BS" I heard this little conversation going one in one of the dark allies. The guy sounds drunk and his thoughts on what he wants to do to this girl is pretty unholy. Shaking my head I fly down a few feet from them and press my wings against my back while walk behind them. "Aw you really hurt my feelings how can you not believe in me, everyone does" I said with my eyes closed holding my heart pretending to be hurt.  "Is this some kind of joke Cari isn't real dumba-" "Whoa watch your mouth you won't be getting through the pearly white gates speaking like that" I open my eyes and see the girl looking at me behind the guy I signal her to leave and she starts running instantly. "Now that I got you all to myself lets have some fun" I say as I extend my wings  I smile showing my fangs while my eyes turn completely black, I hear fluttering behind me and I know that Lucifer is watching. 

I walk towards the guy pushing him on the wall. "You just reek of sin. All those girls that you taken advantage of, you can't run from me like you run from the police" I push his head exposing his neck he's struggling trying to push me off of him but i'm much stronger. I sink my fangs in his neck and inject my special poison, I let go of him and look him in the face he's docile now. "Great now when your at the pearly gates make sure to say that Life sent you" He nods his head and I kiss him taking his life essence he falls to the with his eyes clouded and a resting face. I pull him out in the middle of the street right next to Lucifer. "how did you know he reeked of sin?" "I saw it every single encounter he had with a girl he took advantage of her, and he loved every second of it" I said as I reached my hand in his chest and pulled out his heart. "why did you do that?" "Its my signature" I crushed the heart in my hand turning it into dust. 

Lucifer's POV

She dusted off the crushed heart off of her hand like it was nothing. "who are you?" "How are you the king of the underworld but know nothing about the queen above it? Do your research, I'm Life look it up" She extends her wings ready to fly away but I grabbed her wrist and pulled her close to me, she put her hand on my shoulder ready to push away she stopped she looked up and her red and purple eyes were glowing. She growled and said Mine I felt electricity where we touched. What was that? She backed away and flew away I wanted to follow her but I couldn't move I felt like I was stuck in place. She paralyzed me great. It wears off after a minute but she's already out of sight. 

The next day 

I woke up to the sound of someone vacuuming  I walked out of my room and see Alexander with headphones in while cleaning. "Dude really?" "Oh you're up" "why are you cleaning so early?" "Zander it's 3 in the afternoon" I look at the clock on the wall then look at Alexander, I turn around and go back into my room. I need some coffee. I put on a black shirt that says 'nasa' on it and some black joggers that has planets on the side. I go to the bathroom and put my hair into a puff. I look in the mirror and my blue and grey eyes look tired. I put on my shoes and grab my phone and keys, I walk out and tell Alexander that i'm getting coffee. I arrive at the coffee shop and I see the girl from last time "Hello Zander" she says with a smile on her face her blue and green eyes shinning  God she's beautiful  I smile back and order a large black coffee. I look around and and see that there's no one here and that she's the only one working. "Where is everyone?" "At home Sundays are usually spent at home with family" "Then why aren't you home?" "I could ask you the same question" She let out a small laugh Is everything about this girl perfect she continued "But if you must know this is my business and there has to be someone here to serve coffee to people like you. Here's your order" She handed me the coffee I thanked her and walked back home. 

I walked through the door and saw Alexander reading. "Alex do you know anything about an angel or demon by the name 'Life'?" as soon as the name 'Life' left my mouth Alexander looked up "What do you know about Life?" "nothing that's why I asked" He closed his book and pulled out an old looking book from our bookshelf, he opened it and looked up at me "Life is a goddess she is the most powerful god there is. She's the mother of life and bringer of death she made everything except humans. She has dark brown skin curly green hair and bright red and purple eyes. She can simply create life just by walking which is why she prefers to be bare foot. It is rumored that she is part angel and part demon, giving her abilities from every creature out there. She made Reapers to take people 'when their time is up' but certain people she takes care of herself, The humans call her Cari. No one knows her human form yet but supposedly its just as beautiful as her normal form. She is the Queen of all Life." He gives mt the book and it has a picture of her "I met her last night she was so beautiful her voice was so angelic. I want to date her" "Yeah says every guy ever you have no chance" "What do you mean I have no chance?" "I mean every guy who says that seeks out her human form so that they can date her and end up missing or dead" "And?" "You have no chance"

Not a lot happened in this chapter but it gave background on 'Life' or Cari and it shows what happens on the full moon- Life goddess
