I woke up to see Connor's face a few inches in front of me. I screamed and smacked Connor out of reflex. Connor stumbled back and fell against my dresser, knocking some things off of it.

After I realized what happened, I burst into a fit of laughter. Connor started laughing too as he got to his feet.

I sat up. "I'm sorry, Connor. I didn't mean to do that."

Connor smiled and brushed himself off. "It's alright, Cody. It was understandable." He held out a hand and helped me off my bed. "It's breakfast time."

"Thanks."

Connor and I went downstairs and joined the others. Aaron and Andy were already sitting at the table, eating. I sat across from Aaron and started eating.

Aaron smiled softly at me as he ate. We all finished at the same time. Andy helped me wash dishes, turning on the radio as he did. We were dancing around as we did, jamming to the music playing.

I laughed as Andy's dancing. Andy did even more weird moves, making me laugh harder. Andy stopped and started laughing too.

We stopped cleaning the dishes and we joined the others in the living room. I sat in one of the armchairs while Andy sat on the couch with the other two.

"You guys were making a lot of noise in there," Connor commented.

I smiled. "We were just messing around and having fun."

"So what do we want to do today?" Andy asked.

"I wanted to go to the skate park," Aaron replied. "Preferably alone. I want to be alone for a bit."

We all three nodded.

"Andy and Cody," Connor said. "Maybe we could get Chloe and go hang out somewhere."

"Sure," I said. "When do you want to go?"

"Soon, I guess," Connor replied.

I pulled out my phone. "I'll text Chloe then."

Aaron left and the rest of us waited around for Chloe to answer. She eventually did, saying she was free for the afternoon.

Connor, Andy, and I left the house and headed for the park near Chloe's house. When we showed up, Chloe was waiting at a park bench.

She stood up when she saw us coming. We got off our bikes and we walked around with Chloe. Connor walked beside her, his arm around her waist and the free hand holding his bike.

Connor was murmuring something in Chloe's ear and she laughed. Connor smiled softly, staring at Chloe lovingly. Chloe pecked Connor's cheek quickly and rested her head against Connor's shoulder.

I nudged Andy, leaning over to whisper, "I think they're cute together, don't you think?"

Andy nodded. "I bet ten dollars that they're gonna get married after she gets out of college."

I looked up at Andy. "I'm gonna hold you up to that, you know."

Andy smirked down at me. "I wouldn't expect anything less, Cody."

We walked until we got to the Willamette River. We all sat around on the grass, enjoying the cool breeze. I rested my head across Andy's lap, staring up at the sky. There were some tree branches above me, blocking out some of the skies.

I watched the leaves move and flutter in the breeze. It was a calming sound to here. The lapping of the river's waves calmed me down and I almost fell asleep.

Just as I was on the brink of falling asleep, Andy tapped me on the stomach. I opened my eyes and looked at Andy.

Andy grinned. "You ready go on an adventure?"

I grinned back. "Always. Where are we going?"

Andy shook his head, still grinning. "You'll see. Come on."

Andy helped me up and we took off. Cody had Chloe on his bike with him. We rode through Portland, Andy leading us.

Andy took us to an amazing skatepark I've never seen before. It was bigger than the one close to my house. I grinned and dove down one of the ramps. I rode around and had a grand old time.

I eventually joined up with Connor and went over a ramp with him at the same. We paused at the top of one to take a breather.

Connor raised his hand to give me a high five, which I did. "Good job, Cody. Those were some tough tricks."

"I've been riding BMX bikes since I was twelve, Connor," I said. "I've years to practice and perfect them."

"I'm not doubting you, Cody," Connor said. "I'm saying you were doing an amazing job at them."

I tossed my hair over my shoulder. "I know. Want to meet go with Chloe? She's starting to look bored."

Connor nodded and we took off down the ramp. We made it to Chloe and she hopped on Connor's handlebars. Andy joined us on our way out.

We headed back to my house and entered through the back door. Aaron wasn't back yet, as his bike wasn't anywhere to be found.

I plopped onto the couch and sighed. Andy sat next to me while Connor and Chloe sat on the loveseat. Chloe rested her head on Connor's shoulder.

I pulled out my phone and started scrolling through Twitter. I wasn't really listening to the conversation going on. Andy wrapped an arm behind the couch behind me and I leaned against him. Andy was an amazing friend to me and he was one of my best friends. I wanted him to be around for the rest of my life.
