My Predicament

The Unexpected News

After the Principal called her to his office and gave her the information, Jessica ran out of the school's building  towards the direction of the road. She picked a cab and told the driver her destination. Fear gripped her as those words left the Principal's mouth. She felt there was more to it because he sounded sad.If he thought he could pretend there was nothing wrong, his face said otherwise. A million thoughts run through her mind. What could be happening? Is mum pregnant?.These were some of the thoughts running through her mind. After 7 minutes of the ride, she saw the hospital's building near. She immediately run out of the cab and entered the hospital. She approached the front desk person and asked about Mr and Mrs Brown. The lady asked her who she was and she said she was their daughter. Jessica could see sadness in her eyes. Why is she sad she thought. The lady told her to go to Room 180.Jessica left without saying thanks as she was on the run.
She asked help from people and she was directed to room 180.As she entered she saw her Mum lying there lifelessly. She was on the verge of crying. There was a doctor there and she asked him what happened, the doctor explained things to her and told her both her parents were in coma. She cried very hard and told her mum, Mum I know you are strong. Please make through this. I need u. U can't do this to me. Noo.As if she could hear her.
She ran to the doctor and told him she wants to see her dad. They took her to his room and the nurses were covering his body. She screamed and collapsed. Water was sprinkled on her face and she woke up. They then told her, her dad had given up the ghost. She yelled and cried while laying on the floor. What did I do to deserve this, she thought. She remembered her mum was still in coma and rushed there. Upon reaching there she saw too many nurses and doctors around her mum. One doctor yelled that "We are loosing her ".After 3 minutes of trying to save her, she died. The doctors told Jessica her mum couldn't make it as well.
She ran out of the hospital unaware of where her legs were leading her to. She cried and she stopped at a park and she just couldn't stop crying. She stayed glued to where she was sitting till the next morning. She wasn't herself anymore. She decided to go home. Home wasn't home without her parents, she thought.
How could she survive this life. How can death be soo wicked.
She went home and cried even more when she saw a picture of their once perfect family.She has losed the two most important people in her life.
After an hour she heard a knock on the door and saw her 2 friends with the Principal. She opened the door and cried more as the girls tried consoling her. The Principal told her he has given her a scholarship till she completes school. She thanked him and he told them he was on his way. He said before leaving "Please accept my sincere condolences, this is very sad. Be strong okay".
