HE WOKE WITH A STARTLED GASP.
Luke's heart beating out of his chest as he tried to recall the fleeting nightmare. He looked at his clock as groaned, around 5 minutes until he'd have to get up. Luke switched off his alarm and started to get ready.

He prayed Allison would bring him a can of Monster when she came to pick him up. The girl had talked about wanting to pick his brain about puppy love flirting and Luke was happy to oblige.

He heard a honk from outside, and gathering his bag and books he leapt out of the door and hopped into the car.

"Okay bye dad." Allison said. She gave a brief smile to Luke as she face timed her dad. Luke jumped in front of the camera. "Bye Allison's hot dad!"
Allison, still in such distraught over he friends sudden action, quickly hung up. She turned to Luke, who was now buckling in his seatbelt, her mouth gaping.

When Luke saw Allison he laughed and leaned over to shut her mouth. The girl was a little embarrassed but reached behind her to pull out a can of juice for Luke. "Please," she said grimacing. She landed Luke the cam and started the car. "Never call my dad hot in front of me."

Luke had already started to down the drink and gave one last sip before he turned to Allison and winked.
"No problem pumpkin, now I heard you wanted to talk to me about boys?"

Luke didn't realise how much Allison's affection for the puppy dog known as Scott McCall would effect his group. He walked over to the table that Lydia already sat at, quickly squeezing in next to Stiles as Scott moved his bag for Allison.

"No one told me we were sitting here." He grumbled as he opened up his pasta. Stiles was surprised Luke chose to sit next to him, but he didn't bring it up just in case the boy moved.
With one movement Stiles almost jolted from his seat as Luke leaned forward and his thigh pressed against Stiles'.

Jackson stood above a boy who's name Luke always forgot. His eyes furious. "Get up." The boy sighed. "How come you never ask Danny to get up?"
Luke swallowed his food before answering the boys question like it was the most obvious thing in the world - "'Cause we like Danny?"

Stiles bit his lip, trying not to laugh as the boy stormed off and Jackson sat down.

Danny quickly redirected the conversation. "So I heard they're saying it's some sort of animal attack. A cougar maybe?"

"I heard it was a mountain lion." Jackson said. Lydia rolled her eyes. "A cougar is a mountain lion." She pretended to look dumb, trying to quickly recover with the words "isn't it?" Luke was ready to go home.

It didn't take long before Lydia was putting herself into the Scott and Allison scenario. "Can we talk about something slightly more fun. Like where we're going tomorrow night? You said you and Scott were hanging out tomorrow, right?"

Allison and Scott shared a confused look. "Uh, we were thinking of what we were gonna do."
Lydia purses her lips. "Well," she said as she looked between Jackson and Luke. "I am not sitting at home watching lacrosse videos or listening to this one talk about 'why Dick Grayson is ultimate daddy material', so if the four of us are hanging out - we're doing something fun."

Scott kept looking between the two girls, clearly not understanding what was going on. "Hanging out? Like the four of us?" He paused to turn to Allison. "Do you wanna hang out like us and them?"

Allison turned to Stiles, Danny and Luke for help but received none. So she gave in. "Yeah I guess, sounds fun."

Jackson rolled his eyes and picked up his fork. "You know what else sounds fun? Stabbing myself in the face with this fork."

Lydia suddenly perked up, getting an idea. And Luke helped himself to a piece of Stiles' orange. Watching in delight as the boy looked offended that he'd dare touch his food.

"What about bowling! You love to bowl!"
"Yeah with actually competition. And last time I checked the only competition is Luke and he's not coming."

They all turned to Luke who looked away from Stiles' direction and grimaced. "I'm not being a fifth wheel."
"How do you know we're not actual competition?" Allison smirked.

Luke had to hold his hand over his mouth from saying something stupid and rude as Stiles kept pulling faces throughout the whole conversation.

Luke had finally blocked out his friends. Focusing on Stiles, a boy who he now realised he had stuff in common with, stuff Lydia and Jackson couldn't quite get.

"Hey Stiles, do you wanna hang out and binge Gotham?"
Stiles' face lit up as he frantically nodded.

Stiles was more then surprised when Luke showed up at his door with a Papa John's pizza in hand.

He quickly invited him in, cursing that he didn't make more of an effort to tidy up.

"I can't believe you brought pizza, or that your here, or that you wanted to hang out-" Luke started to laugh. It was a soft laugh but it was warming.

"Shut up super-dork, I wanna see my baby Tabitha and my son Ed. Be prepared for my to get super gay."

There was a small ping and Stiles looked at his phone. He couldn't help but sigh and give a guilty look to Luke.
"I'm sorry, something come up -"

Luke gave a curt nod and licked his lips. He handed Stiles the pizza and gave a slanted smile. "It's cool. I'll see you tomorrow super-dork."

And with that Luke left the Stilinski house hold and drove off in his car.
