Andromeda, huh?
Well, it's nice to meet you.
Reverie held out a hand for me to shake
So I took it.
The way she said my name,
The singsongy way she said my name,
Sent shivers down my spine.
How long had it been, since I'd touched another?
How long had it been since I'd seen another?
Me, Andromeda,
Keeper of star-wishes,
Wanted to be friends with a human girl?
No, that couldn't be it.
I had just been alone too long.
Andromeda? Helllllooooo? You in there?
The girl, no, Reverie,
Was waving a hand in front of me.
I'm sorry,
I was caught up in my thoughts.
Was that really all it was?
We must get going now, in order to save the world.
I stepped in front of Reverie, marking the beginning of our journey.Reverie's POV
I looked at the being, no, deity, walking in front of me.
Her red hair cascading over her shoulder,
She was ethereal, and emitted a mystical glow.
I felt dull in comparison.
My dark brown hair hung tightly above my shoulder,
My dull brown eyes, compared to her bright golden ones.
Andromeda was beautiful, gorgeous,
And I was just a human.
I was surprised she wasn't more angry with me,
For breaking the rule I did.
I knew the four rules of wishing,
I didn't care.
I wanted to help everyone, or did I?
Maybe I just wanted self-satisfaction.
Maybe, I just wanted to be the one to say:
I took away your problems! It was all me!
Oh, I hoped that wasn't true.
As I followed Andromeda,
I noticed how she kept glancing over her shoulder at me.
I was probably annoying her.
I mean, she has probably been doing her job for thousands of years, and no one breaking the rules,
Until me, a simple human girl did.
Now we had to go find this "King of Nightmares", and beg him to fix my stupid mistake.
She should have just let me go alone.
Hey, Andromeda. You can just go ahead and go back.
I'll find this king myself.
I can't let you do that.
You know nothing of the king, or this land.
Besides, I haven't had an opportunity to leave that dreary cavern in millennia!
Andromeda flashed me a dazzling smile over her shoulder,
And laughed, a twinkling sound.
Just the sight of it made me jealous.
How come she was so beautiful, and I, so plain?
As I reluctantly drew my eyes away from the goddess in front of me,
I took a look at the realm of dreams.
In front of us was a beautiful, eerie forest.
To the right a lake, filled with lilac-colored water, and on the left, rolling fields of daisies.
The only thing behind us was the entrance to Andromeda's cavern.
The sky was a beautiful blush pink, filled with glittering stars.
There was nothing this beautiful back on Earth.
And on a hill, beyond the forest,
Was an ominous-looking black castle, that seemed extremely out of place.
Of course, that was our destination.Hello, my lovely warriors!
I hope you enjoyed this chapter of Wishes! How do you like Andromeda and Reverie so far? The next chapter will focus more on the backstory of Andromeda, and the one after that, Reverie. I have no idea how long this story will be, but I'll try to update twice a week, however when school starts for me August 1, I'll probably have to move it to once a week. Please comment and review this story!
Lots of love,
Harper
