It was fairly early in the day when Sadoka lightly woke up in bed." Grell?" she said concerned not seeing him anywhere." I'm right her dear." she heard him say. She turned to the other side of her bed to see Grell in bed awake besides her. She gave a light smile glade that he was there." Good morning Grell!" She said sleepy but enthusiastic as well." Good morning my dear Sadoka!" he said smiling back. His glasses were on the nightstand next to him which made him look different without them." I'm hungry..." She said simply looking at Grell with her cute golden eyes." Alright then!" Grell said sitting up excitedly." What do you want to eat?" Sadoka sat up excited now too eager to assist Grell." I don't care i just want to help!" She said gleaming. Grell did a simple nod and put his glasses on." Alright then Sadoka! Let's head to the kitchen then!" He said getting out of bed and pulling her up into his arms. Sadoka giggled as the two headed for the kitchen. Sadoka was five and so gleeful for someone of her age. Grell rushed to the kitchen navigating the estate knowing every which way through the place. They soon made it into the kitchen and started making breakfast together. Grell of course did most of the stuff since Sadoka was still a bit too young to be doing some of the work. Soon they finished and ate the breakfast together happily. Grell helped Sadoka get dressed into a suit and be ready to head out. Sadoka, unlike other ladies, liked to wear suits whenever the occasion wasn't formal. She personally thought that suits gave more air and more room to do things that ladies couldn't do in dresses." Are you ready yet darling?" Grell said wearing his signature suit and trench coat. Sadoka nodded holding a ball in hand. The two headed into the city for Sadoka to play with the other kids.

Once in the city, Sadoka rushed off to find friends to play with while Grell dragged behind a bit to be sure to watch over her. Most of the kids she ran up to didn't want to play with her was either because she was different or a noble. The kids would verbally call her mean things and say that she was a disgrace to be a noble. If their parents were there, they would call their child to come to them and to not play with her. Sadoka was sad after a while since no one would play with her and stood on a sidewalk of an intersection listening to their comments about her. It really broke her heart to hear them say rude things about her as she hugged her ball tighter. She felt a hand on her ball taking it up from her. She looked up to see Grell giving her a soft smile." How about we go home and play?" He said softly to her. Sadoka nodded with tears in her eyes." There is no need to cry now my young lady. Come on...let's go home." Since the outside world was so cruel, Grell just kept the fun to themselves seeing that not one person was kind to her. The duo mostly just stayed in the home most of the time. Grell would teach her about the basics she needed to know and played with her whenever Sadoka was bored. It was always just the two of them in the home.

~ 4 years of this later~

It was getting late one night as Sadoka laid in bed waiting for Grell." So Sadoka what shall I read to you tonight?" Sadoka got out of bed and headed for the library with Grell following her behind.  When they arrived in the library, Sadoka pointed to a very old book with a red and gold spine." This one?" Grell asked curiously." Yes please!" She said smiling.  Grell took the book down and looked at the title of it. Grell looked at the book surprised seeing the that it was called 'The Tale of Will the Grim Reaper'. The book brought back memories of not only his old pal Will, but the day they met 'her'.

Sadoka's mother

Grell nodded as he took Sadoka back to her room to read her the story." Grell...is that book related to mom and you in anyway?" She asked curiously. Grell tucked her in and nodded. He grabbed himself a chair as he sat down at the side of her bed smiling. This book was the reason Will, your mother, and I first met. Sadoka looked at Grell  with interest in her eyes." Well that's a story for another time okay?" Grell said a bit nervous about telling his old story. Sadoka nodded and was eager for Grell to read her the story.

After the story was read, Sadoka was sound asleep and happy. Grell got up from his seat smiling and kissed her head saying," Good night my dear Sadoka." He quietly walked to the library  and placed the book back smiling. He then heard the crackle of fire and smelled smoke. He swiftly turned around to see the library start to burn. He alarmed rushed out the library and saw the whole estate on fire. He instantly thought about Sadoka and rushed to her room. When he burst through the doors of her room calling her name, he saw the roof of her room broken. He saw a man with her in their arms with her struggling and shouting at the man." Sadoka!" Grell cried reaching his hand for her." Grell!!!" Sadoka cried reaching for him. Soon wooden poles broke and fell down in front of him blocking him from Sadoka." No!!" Grell cried in the mist of the fire. Grell glared at the flames and left the building as swiftly as possible. Once he was out, it began to rain and the fire died out. Grell walked through the remains of the home and saw the book he read earlier on the floor untouched by the flames. Greek wondered how but ignored it since it was now a keepsake to him." I swear Sadoka..." Grell said sternly to himself." I will find you.. and I will kill everyone who dares stand in the way and did this to you."
Grell then left the scene to look for Sadoka and go back to the Soul Dispatch Association where his second home would be.
