Chapter 9

3 Weeks Later

In the last three weeks, someone found and gave me my phone, I mostly stayed at my house, and I watched all the TV in the world. Also, today is my birthday. I'm not as excited as an average teenager would be for their 16th birthday. All I'm going to do is get my temps, so I can drive shortly after the baby comes, and get an ultrasound for the first time. Which is kinda exciting because I get to find out the gender. I don't care if Percy doesn't want to find it out, but I want to find out if I'm having a baby girl or boy. 

So right now, it nine am and I'm watching Disney Channel because I got sick and tired of reality TV. I had a bag of popcorn on my lap and Girl Meets World was on. "Boo!" I said as I threw some of my popcorn at the TV. Some TV shows are so stupid! Well, anything on Disney. Like, they all end in the main character learning how it's okay to be different or whatever. Ugg! 

 "Happy Birthday!" I turned to see who it was and found Piper.

"Thanks, Piper. But may I ask, why are you in my house at nine in the morning?" I said.

"I really don't know," She replied.

"Well, since your here, you wanna make me something to eat?" I asked while smiling.

"Only cause I'm scared of what will happen if I say no." I laughed at her comment.

"Thank you."

In ten minutes, I had grilled cheese and a few pieces of a watermelon. "So, anything change since the last time I saw you?" Piper asked.

"Nope. Well, I'm sixteen now. That's new. What about you?"

"Well, I have two new sisters and we lost Capture The Flag, again."

I laughed and said, "That sounds like a pretty normal week at Camp Half-Blood." 

"Yeah. Can you believe it's already been a month since everyone found out your pregnant?"

"I'm kinda surprised. It's seems like just last week."

"Oh, I forgot to tell you something. If my mother comes here with bunch of baby things, it wasn't me."

"What?! Who told the Olympian goddess of love?!"

"My sister," Piper said in a small voice. 

"I doubt Aphrodite will be able to keep her mouth shut. What if Athena finds out?! Oh my gods, Percy is going to be blow into bits."

"Just chill."

"I can't! Are you fucking kidding me?! I can't go one day without going fucking crazy, can I?!"

"I'm-"

"You know what? I'm cool. Now If you'll excuse me, I need to go get my temps and get an ultrasound." I moved passed Piper and slipped my shoes on. I exited to get a cab and get my temps.

54 Minutes Later

I got my temps, passing it with 100%, and I am currently at the hospital. I filled out the paper work, which took twenty minutes. "Annabeth Chase?" A nurse called I stood up and followed her into a room. "The docter will be with you in a few minutes." I nodded and she left.

And in five long minutes,  a lady came in and said, "I'm Dr. Andrews. I will be taking care of you for the rest of your pregnancy. And if you will lay back and lift your shirt, we will be able to get started." I did as she asked and waited for everything to happen. 

Dr. Andrews put gel on my stomach and used the wand thing to moved it around. Looking at the baby. And when she found my baby, all I could do was smile. Andrews pointed out some things but I couldn't hear any of it. I just stared at my unborn child. 

I finally snapped back to reality as she asked, "Would you like to find out the gender?" 

"Yes," I said while nodding my head. 

"Well, congratulations Ms. Chase. It's a girl." I smiled even wider, knowing I had a little girl coming into the world. 

"Thank you," I said as the docter handed me a picture of the ultrasound and told me to come back in two weeks. So I headed home, not taking my mind off my baby girl. I took a cab instead of walking because I'm at the point where me walking too much leads in back pains. 

I arrived at my house and walked in the front door. I was still looking at the picture, so focused on the image that I didn't even notice all my friends sitting in my living room. "You okay there?" Leo said.

I looked up and saw that everyone was there. "Uh, yeah." I said with a smile. I put the picture in my purse and walked to the couch. 

"Why are you so happy?" Thalia asked.

"No reason," I said. I tried to stop smiling, but it didn't work.

"That's bull. She got the first ultrasound," Piper said. 

Reyna asked, "And??"

"Hope about you find out when the boys get here?"

"And how do you know they are coming here?" Hazel asked.

"I know you all way too well." This was then followed by twenty minutes of tension and the four girls trying to get me to spill. When the boys got there, Piper filled them in and they all stared at me.

"When are you gonna tell us?! The boys are here, so just spill already!!!" Hazel said. 

"Just one more minute. This is so funny."

"No! Just tell us!" Piper said. 

"Fine. It's a......"

All the girl's leaned in a bit, wanting to know the answer more than anything. 

"Girl." I continued to smile as the girls screamed and the boys plugged their ears.

"Happy Birthday, Wise Girl, "Percy whispered into my ear as the screaming and talking continued. 

Thus the end of my birthday.
