PEOPLE OF RIVERDALE. I have rid this town of the drug dealing child killer and others like him. Now you must choose your fate. The next fourty eight hours will be a test and I will be watching you very closely. Show me you are pure of heart and this ends. Continue to sin, and I will take up the sword again.
Emili Andrews' phone beeped for what seemed like the millionth time that morning. She rolled her eyes, seeing that it was her brother, again. "Archie, I swear to God, if you call me one more time, I will rip your eyeballs out."
"Aw, nice to talk to you too, little sis!" He exclaimed sarcastically. "I was just checking in. You were gone when I woke up this morning."
Emili sighed. "I know, I am the one who left."
"Where are you?" He asked, concern lacing his voice.
"Leave her alone!" Emili heard her brother's girlfriend, Veronica Lodge, yell from the background.
Emili let out a chuckle, before inevitably answering her brother. "I'm at Kevin's." She told him, turning back to face the Keller boy. "We're reading the letter the Black Hood wrote. Have you seen it yet?" She asked, though she already knew the answer.
"Of course I have." He answered, just like she knew he would. "That's why I'm checking up on you."
Emili scoffed sarcastically. "What, you think I'm a sinner?"
"Compared to me? Yes." He told her. "I'll talk to you later. Stay safe. Love you."
"I am literally at the Sheriff's house." She reminded him. "But I love you too. Bye."
"Wow." Kevin said, once she put her phone back in her pocket. "I have never seen such an overbearing brother in my life."
Emili sighed. "Welcome to my personal hell."

•LATER THAT NIGHT, Emili bounded down the stairs, about to meet her good friend Cheryl Blossom for a sleepover, when she ran into Archie and Jughead Jones at the bottom of the stairs. "Em, I'm using Dad's truck tonight."
"No you're not." Emili said, blocking his path to the front door. "I am. You used it last night for your date with Veronica. It's my turn."
Archie groaned. "Can you, just, please let me use it?" He asked.
"Fine." She said, picking up the keys off the counter. "But you'll have to catch me first!" She exclaimed, running out the door, closing it behind her.
"Wait!" Archie yelled, reopening the door, but was ignored. He looked to Jughead, who urged him to get the truck. "Em, I'll do anything!"
The redheaded girl stopped in her tracks turning to face her brother and his friend. "Anything?" She asked. "I haven't had this much power in ages." She pretended to think for a moment. "How about you lay off me."
