*Kyungsoo POV*

I whispered my goodbyes to Minseok. My heart raced at the thought of going against Jongin's wishes, but I had to, I needed to find my lost independence.
"Make sure when he wakes up you-,"
"Tell him your at Chanyeol's house, I know Kyungie." Minseok whispered back, ruffling my short hair.
I breathed a sigh of nervousness and readiness. The message on my arm was different from what I told Jongin.

Flashback (dinner table)

"What's it say." My secret partner asked, swallowing the potato he just ate.
"Oh, um," I mutter, reading my skin.
It said: 'Come to the east-side river bank. Seven a.m. There's a little bonus game I want you both to play. Consider it 'xp' collecting for the real battles.'
I shook my head. "He's congratulating us on surviving round one."
He shrugged, "Asshole."
I turned to Minseok who gave me a knowing look. He saw.

"Why did you lie to Jongin? He can't protect you if you don't inform him of these things!"
I hushed him, keeping noise minimal. "He's been through a lot. I don't want him hurt."
We were in the kitchen cleaning up while my lover was told to sit in the living room and relax.
"I also have two more questions, and God help you if you don't answer them truthfully."
I rinsed a bowl under the clear tap water, and stacked it on the pile that needed drying. "Shoot."
"I ventured down into the basement yesterday while you were out." I flinched. "What was that down there? Those jars and-and dead things! And that circle, what was that?"
I huffed, wanting to tell him in my own time, not like this. "That Minseok, is black magic. Yeah, I do that. I wanted to tell you, but the time was never right nor was I ever mentally prepared for your reactions. I didn't want you to leave me, so I......hid it."
His face dropped, causing a guilty pain in my chest to form.
"Oh Kyungie, don't ever think I'd leave over some, weird, hobby." I noticed he emphasised the 'weird'.
I hugged him, thankful that he was such a positive and forgiving person. "What's the other question?"
He released me and smiled, " I know this may come off as weird, but I noticed the other players are couples. So-,"
I inwardly screamed, wanting to run out of here, away from him, Jongin and leap out of my own skin while I was at it.
"Are you okay? Your sweating like a sinner in church."
I nodded meekly, wanting to drain away down the sink with the water.
"Anyway, I was wondering if you and Jongin were in a romantic relationship."
I heard footsteps come closer to the kitchen. Familiar ones. Jongin popped his head around the door. "Do you guys have any ice cream?"
I burst into a fit of laughter. "Ice cream!" I snickered, confusing them both. I found this lack of seriousness triggered the nervous laughter I was experiencing. My giggles subsided when Minseok and Jongin muttered worried nothings to each other.
I got serious. "For your answer, Minseok, I just want to say I've never enjoyed lying to you so here's the plain, ugly truth.
They both met my intense gaze. "Yes, we are. And have been for a year now."
Jongin stood up, shooting me a questioning look, not sure what I was answering but I'm sure he could guess.
"Okay, as long as I know."
We both turned to the elder. "Okay? That's it? No 'slap, slap' naughty boys, reflect on your actions?" I gasp, totally bewildered by his weak reaction.
"Why would I? I myself married my teacher. You love Jongdae don't you?"
I leaned back against the sink. "Are you kidding me? How old is Jongdae then?"
"Not the point you idiot," Jongin slapped the back of my head. "Minseok, are you really fine with this?"
"I really am."

End of flashback!

I hurried out of the house and onto my old bike. It was six a.m and the message said seven. I needed half an hour to get there and another fifteen to prepare myself for the game. I memorised black magic chants that could help me further. I won't lose this time. Jongin would kill me if I did.
