There was once a boy, born from a God's tear. He was beautiful, like a god, smart, like a god and loved like a god. But he was human and mortal. This was his main source of hatred for himself.
"Soonyoung, Soonyoung, please accept my flowers as a declaration of my undying love for you."
Soonyoung turned to the young man and and took in his form.
"I fear you are not good enough for me, perhaps someone beneath my status is more suited for you."
The young man's heart felt abused and spat on. "Why must you never consider those beneath you. We love all the same as a rich man!"
The narcissistic beauty sneered. "I do not require love, I require power." With that he turned on his heals and walked off. His white cape fluttering behind him on the breeze.
This lonely boy only wanted what he felt was his. A place with the gods in the Sky Palace. He stormed off through the streets, ignoring stares, comments and wolf whistles. Both men and women could only dream of nearing his radiance.
Meanwhile, an equally narcissistic god caught wind of the famous beauty living on the earth. He questioned the others on his personality, appearance, and family history. Only to find himself more obsessed with the boy than he had been starting out.
"Won't love eh? Perhaps a little irritation is to be tested. Nobody can ignore what bothers them for long."
Making a truly outstanding human form, the glamorous god travelled to earth in order to acquaint himself with his object of fascination. "Just you wait, Soonyoung, you'll be mine in no time."
"Did you hear.....?"
"That's him!"
"Oh my, how handsome."
These phrases flew around the god's ears as he strolled through the quaint, provincial town. He had one goal, to find, capture and win Kwon Soonyoung's heart of stone. This was easier said than done though. With fascinated admirers and giddy onlookers, the journey became tiresome and long.
"Excuse me miss?" The god asked a passing teenage girl.
"Uhh, yes sir?"
"Would you be so kind as to guide me to the abode of Kwon Soonyoung?"
"Yes, of course sir! He lives out of town, across the river and in the woods."
"You have my sincerest thanks."
The girl blushed furiously, totally taken aback by the gentleman's manners.
Parting from her, the god continued his path, nearing his so desired prize.
The river was narrow, with a wonderful hand crafted bridge to cross it. Once over the river and into the forest, a slight breeze picked up, making the god pull his black coat further up his broad shoulders. His navy, wavy hair fluttered in the chilling breeze.
"Oh dear, looks like a storms coming," He smiled knowingly to himself.
He arrived at a small, but charming cottage's doorstep. He knocked, listening for the footsteps stirring within.
The door swung open, producing a lightly dressed Soonyoung. The boy frowned, unsure who the handsome stranger was.
"Do I know you?"
"No, but I'd like it if you'd give me a chance and learn from me. You might just find it interesting."
Soonyoung's lips curled into a devious smile. "What if I say no, stranger?"
"Then I suppose we'll just never meet again."
He opened his door wider. "Wouldn't want that, would we?"

The days turned into months, making two unlikely friends fall for one another, hard.
"A peasant with a bit of money dared to manhandle me today," Soonyoung whined fakely, "I was so terribly scared and upset, wishing a certain someone would save me."
The god, now going by the name Hananim, snaked his long arms around Soonyoung's frame. "I was unaware that you even felt such an emotion as fear."
A growl sounded from the younger, warning Hananim to watch his un gentlemanly words.
"So vicious," he chuckled.
"So uncaring," the human responded woefully.
Hananim kissed Soonyoung's head of brown hair, "I care about you the most, fear not my love."
*****
Months turned into years in which Soonyoung had turned nineteen, but realised his lover was not ageing.
"What is this sorcery? My love I am bitter! I age every passing day whilst you remain young and angelic. Tell me why this is so."
Hananim felt it was time to admit his true identity, exposing his inhuman raising.
"Forgive me for not telling you sooner, I was merely worried you would leave me without a goodbye."
"A god? Are you serious or do you jest?"
"I'm am as serious as you."
This lead to no further complications but one request out of the blue.
"Make me eternally young like you, so we can be together for the rest of time."
Hananim sat up from his comfortable sleeping position on his rocking chair. "Eternal youth is a curse not a blessing, Soonyoung."
"I'm sure, but what I want is not to live for ever, but to spend my forever with you."
Hananim granted his lover's request, falling out of the gods favour. Though one god in particular, took quite an interest in Soonyoung, and his power over the great Hananim's heart.
One day, Soonyoung took a walk into the particularly deep part of the woods. Any fears he may have had once were gone, as he now had an immortal body.
"Young man, are you Kwon Soonyoung by any chance?" A strong, deep voice belted.
"Depends who is asking. What might your name be?"
"My name? Oh yes, you humans insist on those, then I shall be Kim Taehyung, pleased to make your acquaintance I'm sure."
The boy sighed, realising he was facing another god. "You are quite beautiful."
Taehyung shrugged as if the complement meant nothing. "That is required of a god."
Soonyoung scoffed. "What is it you require my acquaintance for exactly?"
The god smirked. "Perhaps a battle for your heart is in order. I myself have taken a liking to you."
Days later Taehyung and Hananim face each other under the cover of the forest.
"Soonyoung is mine!" Hananim spat.
"We shall see."
They readied their Olympic weapons. Hananim's Dual Swords to Taehyung's Stygian iron scythe. The battle played out, weapons were swapped from swords, to bow and arrows, to nunchucks and so on.
Hananim proved victorious, sending a bitter Taehyung back to Sky Palace. Though in his wake, the vengeful god left with such force, a canyon like split, was left straight down the middle of the mountain the villagers inhabited. The effects were devastating.

After the clean up and the struggle for supplies for the village, everything more or less returned to normal.
The loving pair lay in the forest, gazing up at the star filled sky.
"Hoshi," Hananim, whispered gently.
"Pardon?" Soonyoung replied, confused.
"Hoshi means star in Japanese, just like Hananim means god in Korean. You are my Hoshi and I your Hananim."
They smiled to themselves and continued to watch the never changing sky.
"What is your real name? I have known you so long yet I don't even know this."
Hananim rolled in his side to face his love. "Promise you won't tell anyone?"
"Promise."
Hananim reverted to his true form, leaving Soonyoung in awe. "I like this one better."
I know it's a short chapter after a cliffhanger, but vital to the story all the same.
Hope your enjoying this so far, I know I am ;)
