"I'll miss you," Kerry said as she kissed her boyfriend Mace.

"I'll miss you too," he said to her.

Mace is an astronaut and he has to go on a mission to save the world. The sun is dying so a team of astronaut have to go and make sure that doesn't happen.

Anyways Mace and Kerry sat on the couch watching a movie. It had just ended so they were talking.

They started making out and it got deeper and deeper until he picked her up still kissing her and brought her to their bedroom.

They striped each other and made deep meaningful love.

"I love you," She said resting her head on his chest.

"I love you too," he said kissing her forehead soon they were both consumed with sleep.

(The next morning)

Mace woke up to a sleeping Kerry. He got up and started getting ready for the trip.

He then quickly wrote a note and left it on the bedside table. He kissed his lover's forehead and left.

Soon she woke up to the sound of a door closing. She looked around to find herself alone. She got up using the sheets to cover herself and looked out the window.

She saw Mace sitting in his car starting the ignition he looked up and saw her. She realized he had tears in his eyes. Mace never cried. He believed that he was to much of a macho man to cry.

He then looked down and drove the car out of the driveway and left.

Kerry looked around and saw the the note.

Dear Kerry,

You know I'm not good with emotions so I thought I would write it down.

We both know that this mission has a high risk that I won't make it back so I want you to know that I love you with all my heart and that you taught me how to have a heart. I was nothing before I knew you. I hope I can leave you with the best gift I can give, my love.

Forever yours,

Mace

She started crying. It was true it was very unlikely for him to come back. He was gone...

(A few years later)

Kerry was in the living room of her house hiding from her 4 year old daughter. the night Mace left he didn't just leave her his love but a child as well.

After 2 years of sadness she finally learned to accept that Mace was gone.

As she hide there was a knock at the door. She heard little Sophie answer the door.

"Does Kerry not live here anymore?" she heard a familiar voice say.

"Mommy!" Sophie yelled.

Kerry slowly walked to the door. She was shocked by what she saw.

"Mace?" she asked in tears.

He nodded and she immediately hugged him. Mace wanted to kiss her but he hesitated.

"Who's the father?" Mace asked thinking that Kerry was happily married.

"You," she said.

He was shocked, but soon he smiled and pressed his lips to her's.

"Ew," a little voice said.

Mace let go and looked at the little girl. He kneeled down next to her.

"Who might you be?" he asked.

"I'm Sophie. Are you my Daddy?" she asked.

"Yes I am," he said.

She giggled and hugged him.

"How?" Kerry mouthed.

"I don't know," he mouthed back.

At the moment Kerry didn't ask more questions she just enjoyed the moment.

And I know that Mace and the whole crew die in Sunshine but I thought it would be to sad so he comes back to life in some way or maybe we can say nothing happened to Icarus or stuff I really don't know you can make up your own reasons.
