the blonde-haired blushed as he saw jinyoung approaching him and putting his hand on his cheek.
"your kiss was the sweetest but...can i repay you with some sugar too?"
mark's cheeks became even redder as soon as he heard the raven-haired's words, realising that the younger had felt his kiss in the morning.
and that same raven-haired he was thinking about then put his other hand on the counter where the older was leaning on, near his thigh, getting even closer, almost closing the distance between them but then a smile appeared on his lips, chuckling as he stepped away and caressed the other's head.
"i was kidding."
the older then looked at him, his cheeks were still burning red as he hadn't processed yet what had just happened.
meanwhile the other was busy putting sugar in his coffee, as he had said before, slowly sipping the warm drink, almost acting as if they weren't on the verge of kissing just minutes ago, simply putting the cup back on the table when he was finished with it.
mark just stared, fazed and not knowing what to think of that, was it really just platonic as he thought before?
"uhm, it wasn't that bad actually, it had been a while since i last had a sugar free coffee.."
the raven-haired commented, referring to the coffee.
"really?"
"yes, maybe sometimes i could try ordering my americano with sugar."
he added, looking at the boy in front of him.
"then i'll be waiting for that day to come."
the blonde-haired simply said, smiling as he looked fondly at the younger, trying not to overthink whatever had happened just before.
"today is your day off, right? would you like to go out for a walk?"
he asked, even though the weather hadn't been the best for a walk mark hesitated not because of that, everyone knows that he would have loved to go with jinyoung but he wanted to take responsibility since jackson had to work extra because of his sudden leave yesterday.
"uhm actually i was thinking to stay here and help jackson with the work since i left him alone yesterday."
he just uttered, speaking what truly was in his mind.
jinyoung, as expected, just nodded and smiled softly, he was an understanding person and he could see where mark was coming from.
"oh, don't worry, but since i'm already here and have nothing else to do maybe i could also help you with, like, taking orders? since i don't know how to make coffees, or i could also help with wiping tables, i wouldn't want to stay here and watch you work all day long."
he said, just waiting to hear a 'yes' coming from the other's mouth.
"to me it's okay but you don't have to-"
"it's okay, i want to help."
he didn't even let him finish the sentence that he stopped him, reassuring the boy that he was doing it out of his own will.
the worker then smiled, knowing there's was no way to persuade him.
"then, thank you jinyoungie."
the younger felt his cheeks heating up at those words, he really didn't expect the other calling him in such a cute way, it was a surprise for him but, undoubtingly, it was for sure a nice one.
not a lot had passed when way more customers started coming in, as everything was settled he then went to some tables to take orders.
"hello, what can i bring-"
jinyoung's voice stopped as he looked at the customer and couldn't help but recognize those narrow eyes that were now looking at him.
