My eyes fluttered open and I
looked out the window to see something absolutely incredible, The Big Ben. I always wanted to see it and now after all that hoping I was. I decided not to move to much since Amy was sleeping on my arm which was a little disappointing but what can u do? Absolutely nothing that's what, Amy is too adorable to wake up. I sat there and waited, not really minding her too much, instead I just continued too looked out the window down at my new home. Honestly, it was beautiful. As soon as we landed Amy woke up which was good for me since it meant I didn't have too wake her. We got off the plane quickly and went to the lobby to grab our bags and meet the couple who was to take us to their orphanage. We both looked around trying to see if we found who we were to go with till I saw the sign with our names. A young looking lady and a young looking man, both looked to be in their mid to late twenties and were holding the sign. The closer we got the more I noticed about them. The lady was in a nice looking casual white grey dress that complimented her thin, tall figure. The man wore a nice white and blue colored shirt tucked into his blue jeans. As we approached them Amy squeezed my hand and moved behind me. They noticed us and gave a warm smile, waving us over. We hurried and soon enough we were right next to the towering figures. The lady smiled at us as she asked in a typical British sounding accent "Are you the Amy and Lilly we were to look for?"
"Yes," I replied swiftly; "I'm Lilly and the little one behind me is Amy." I moved slightly to the side so the couple could see Amy. She waved, smiling her sweet little smile.
The man smiled, and responded with " Nice too meet you girls, I am Clark Wallace and this is my fiance Clara White." I immediately noticed how deep the mans voice was compared to his soon to be wife. Her voice was light and sweet, and her tone was kind, almost motherly. On the contrary, The males voice was deep and brash sounding. His tone was similar to his wife's however, very fatherly. It almost reminded me of the way parents introduced themselves to there child to be in the US, except they weren't adopting us and we weren't in the US anymore.
I smiled and could tell Amy was calming down. Amy was a strange kid since the day I met her. She was able to confidently talk to kids but was always nervous around adults, and I don't mean your typical nervousness I'm talking to scared to speak. That is unless she likes the person or they don't seem intimidating. Personally I find it easier to talk to adults but that might just be me. They smiled as they continued to talk about everything we needed to know about life here as they led us the the car. About an hour later we finally arrived at the orphanage. As we pulled up the beautiful building stood tall. It was modeled like a cottage but the place was the size of a mansion. There were 12 girls living here all of which lived in there own room and there was still more empty rooms there! The lawns were well kept and doted with flowers I noted. This place had to cost a fortune! As I grabbed my bags Amy took off running around the yard smiling and laughing like the giddy child she is. I couldn't help but grin as I grabbed out her bag. It had been so long since I saw her do something like that. She grew up to fast and learned quickly that she needed too, no one looks out for you at the orphanage well, unless you count me. I became her honorary big sister and honestly I was happy to do that. I ended up looking over at the couple who had just gotten out of the car as well and were now smiling at Amy as they walked towards the house, me right behind them. Amy looked over at us ran over to me, immediately holding my hand. As the couple unlocked the front door I braced myself for anything but nothing could prepare me for what I saw.The inside was just as beautiful as the outside! As soon as they opened the front door I was speechless. The walls were a pearl white and decorated and surprisingly clean for the amount of people supposedly living here. Amy tugged at my arm urging me forward into the spacious room. The couple had just gotten in as well as we set down the bags. A few girls came into the room. One looked to be about Amy's age. She had on a light pink shirt and a blue skirt that matched her eyes. Her white, blonde hair was pulled up into a pair of pigtails. A star clip was on the side, pulling back her bangs. The other looked a few years older but what she wore made her seem at least a teen. She had on a light blue blouse with a white pencil skirt. She had brown/red hair with a barley visible purple streak which was pulled into a fishtail braid. They both smiled warmly at us as the older one spoke up, her voice strong and confident "Hi, you two must be the new girls living here. I'm Phoenix, but my friends call me Nix," she then gestured to the girl next to her, "This is Snow, my little sister". Snow gave waved, her smile still showing as she looked over at Amy. Amy smiled, coming out from her hiding place behind me. Snow walked over to Amy, the little smile still plastered on her face. " What's your name?" She asked in a sweet timid voice. Amy looked up at me, as if she wanted me to say it. I shook my head and in Amy's shy and quiet voice she replied "A-Amy." Snow giggled "Nice to meet you Amy". The older girl looked over at me, "...and yours is?"
I replied almost immediately with "I'm Lilly."
Her expression changed as she looked down at Snow, speaking to her the same way you'd expect a mother to speak to her child "Snow, why don't you and Amy go play?" Both girls eyes lit up and soon both were running up the stairs. I turned to look for Mr. And Mrs. White only to find the two had gone to another room. Looking back at Nix I noticed her expression soften slightly. She looked me in the eye, as if she was searching for my soul. "What happened to you and the girl?" Her voice was sour toned and unwavering, just as her gaze. I was a bit confused, what did she mean by happened to you and the girl? Did she mean what brought us here? How we became orphan? I guess she saw the confusion cause her expression told me everything. Her eyes went from cold to caring and expression softened. I sighed, I hated remembering my parents and what happened. "Well, It all happened when I was about 6...."

Sorry about the wait, I've been busy lately and haven't had much time to myself. Also sorry about the cliff hanger, I decided that a chapter needs to be published and really wanted to do a cliff hanger so.......just deal with it please. And thanks for the 16 reads, that's actually way more than I expected to get so thank you to all of you. Also before I leave, yes I am aware that the orphanage is not an accurate representation but......its what I went with so once again, deal with it please.
