Lilly's POV

I woke up that faithful morning looking outside to the window the sat beside my bed. I was turning five today and I loved it. Mommy and Daddy promised to spend all day with me and I couldn't wait! I jumped out of bed and over to the closet, pulling down something to wear, almost falling twice. I really didn't care though.

I grabbed a pink every day dress and walked out the door to mommy and daddy's room. She was sitting on her bed, whispering something to daddy that made him go red.
"Mommy?" I say as I walk in the room and over to her. She looked over at me, looking a little surprised. She looked down at the clothes in my hand and smiled, "Need help getting dressed sweetheart?"
I nodded and soon she was helping me get dressed.
I remember now what I did after getting dressed pretty clearly, I watched Disney channel till mommy and daddy came downstairs, dressed and ready. They smiled and I started jumping up and down, super happy since I knew exactly where we were going, to the fair!

Here's the dress!
That day went by fast for me,  faster than I wanted it too. Mommy and Daddy wanted to take me to the fair so I could spend some time on the Merry-go-round, which was my favorite ride. Then it became night time and they said it was time to go, right when all the pretty lights came on too. They walked me to the car and daddy buckled me in. The drive home might take a little bit and I felt sleepy and soon I fell asleep.
Mom's POV.
I looked into the back seat at Lilly who was sound asleep. I smiled and looked over at the man next to me and he smiled back. We had been married since we had graduated and, I think well be together forever, till the day we die and honestly, I hope we're both around when the time comes. I know that sounds dumb and strange but since the day we started dating we always stuck together no matter what. We were inseparable since we met, a nerd and a jock, who would of thought?  We talked quietly on our way home, about everything and I could tell my husband,  Shawn, had needed it. His job was stressful, what do you expect for an investigative reporter? What he ended up saying about his newest case however had me worried  and then he said this:
"I think you and Lilly should go somewhere for awhile," he stated. It wasn't what he said that had be worried, okay it had a little bit to do with that but it didn't help his tone, which was normally deep and playful yet calm and curious. He was still that curious nerd I had fallen for in highschool. Any, back to his voice which was serious and...scared?
