That Girl

Chapter 3

"Who is that?" Ash asked.

"Who knows? He's cute though." Britt said.

The girls laughed while still staring at the blonde mystery guy walking with their best friend.

"He looks familiar in a way. Like in Jen's room." Lainee said, squinting her eyes to get a better look.

"Lainee, that's creepy!" Ash said, giggling.

"Well I see the girls, and they look surprised." Jen said, laughing.

"Nice, um, you think we could keep in touch? It's pretty cool to meet a girl like you."

"Really?"

"Yeah, it's a first for me, fans are crazy."

"True, but um, yeah, that would be cool though." Jen managed to respond, shocked at the words.

JJ smiled at her and the two traded phones so they could plug their numbers into the contact list.

He watched her walk towards her friend while keeping the smile on his face.

"Yo!"

JJ turned around and saw his three best friends and bandmates walking over in his direction.

"What are you looking at?" Kevin asked.

"Nothing."

"You sure?" Travis asked.

"Yeah, let's go."

"About time." Angel said.

"Sorry, how was I supposed to know you wouldn't be long, usually you guys take hours."

"Yeah, but we didn't really find anything." Ash said.

"So who was that guy?" Britt asked.

"Huh? Oh, um, that was JJ."

"Who's JJ?" Lainee asked.

"A member from NLT."

"NLT? That hot boyband?" Ash asked.

"Yeah."

"OMG! You met a celebrity and didn't get a picture?" Angel asked.

"Well yeah, he was kind of freaked out enough by the screaming girls who were chasing him."

"Ha, that's gotta suck." Lainee said.

"And you were complaining you don't get lucky." Britt said.

"I know right, it was like a coincidence or something." Jen said.

The girls laughed as they headed out of the mall and to the car.

"So is anything going to happen?" Ash asked.

"What?" Jen said.

"You know, are you going to see him again?"

"Not sure."

"What do you mean by that?" Britt asked.

"Um, well he did ask to keep in touch."

"OMG!" The other four girls exclaimed.

"Man, you ok?" Kevin asked.

"Huh? yeah, why?" JJ said.

"Just wondering, you're zoned out."

"Sorry."

"What's going on?" Travis asked, looking at JJ.

"Nothing, I just met a girl."

"YOU MET A GIRL!" The guys exclaimed.

"Yeah, so?"

"Man, that's awesome! Is she hot?" Kevin asked.

"Dude, I'm not answering that, and she's a fan."

"Oh, man, stay away from those, you know how they tell a reporter about some story of them with us even though it's not true."

"I know, but she seemed cool."

"It could be an act man." V said.

"I don't know, she does understand what we go through."

"Come on, you know a fan has their source, she probably knows everything about you." Travis added.
