That Girl

Chapter 22

"Where's JJ?" She asked.

"You would ask that right away." Travis said, laughing.

"Well duh!" Jen said.

"Hey Jen!" Ash said.

Jen looked over to Ash seeing her coming out with JJ, carrying a cake.

"Omg, wow." She said, as she looked at the cake.

"That turned out great!" Lainee said.

"Yeah." Travis agreed.

Britt smiled and grabbed the camera to take pictures. She also videotaped the part where they sang happy birthday to her, mainly the guys though, as they sounded way better than the girls.

Jen smiled as she had to make a wish, blow out the candles, and cut the cake. After that, Ash took over and cut the cake into pieces for everyone, while Jen had walked over to JJ.

JJ smiled as he pulled her into a hug and gave her a kiss.

"Happy Birthday JenJen"

"Thanks."

Jen smiled back at him and let her arms wrap around him, leaning into his body. He smiled again, and held her close.

"Alright, Jen you can pick out a piece since you're the birthday girl." Ash said.

Once everyone had a piece of cake, they sat down and talked for a while.

"Ok, time to open your gifts." Lainee said.

"You're kidding? You all got me something?" Jen said, surprised.

"Yeah, why not?" Travis asked.

"I don't know, I usually don't get anything from friends."

"Well, this year is different." Britt said.

Lainee gave her the first gift. It was from V.

Jen opened it up and it was a "Made Fur You Birthday" - Lil Honey Club Teddy Bear...

"Aaww, V, it's cute!! Thanks!" Jen said.

"You're welcome."

Lainee handed her the next gift, from her.

Jen smiled, knowing Lainee was good at getting gifts. She opened it up and found three CD's in there: Chris Brown, Simple Plan, and the Jonas Brothers.

"Lainz!! You knew??"

"Yeah, duh! Why wouldn't I?"

"Ah, dude, seriously, I totally forgot about getting these."

"Ha, nice Jen."

Jen kept opening up the gifts from the others.

Britt had gotten her a jewelry box with her name engraved on it, with a couple bracelets from Claire's Accessories in it.

Kevin had gotten her a really simple gift: A gift card to her favorite store: PacSun.

"Nice Kev." Jen said, laughing.

"What's better than picking out something for yourself with my money?" He replied, laughing as well.

Ash handed Jen her gift. Jen smiled at Ash, knowing she must have picked out something or created something really amazing.

Ash had gotten her best friend a gift card for iTunes to download music and it came with two other items: a photo book that had pictures of the girls growing up from when they met and to the upcoming days, as well as a "Best Friend" Book that Ash made to represent her and Jen's friendship all these years - filled with pictures, jokes, notes they wrote, and so on.
