Entering my home was a shock if a life time. Not only was my father waiting for me, my brother was home with his girlfriend, and Zayn sat along side my father. All waiting for me in our large living room.
Perfect! Just perfect!
"Ray!" My father's loud voice rang out, pulling me back to the doorway. His stern sapphires burn into me. "Your brother has returned." He nods in his direction, my eyes casting over to him.
"Damien." I clipped out, a fake smile passing my lips. He was a prick, the fuck up of our family. He ran away before we had settled underground, not wanting to become King at all.
"Rayna." He smirks, knowing all too well I was not happy to see him. He tormented me for years, the worst he had done was put me in the position I was in to be Queen. "Good to see you again." He refrained from his giggle, waiting until my father's attention turns to me before flipping me the bird.
"Same to you, you impulsive bastard." I growled out, clenching my teeth together. My father shoots me a disapproving look."Rayna Elizabeth!" He warned, rolling my eyes at him. He wanted peace for everyone, for what reasons I could not fathom.
I scoff ignoring him, looking back to my older brother. A petit little blonde sat next to him, now this one I rather liked. "Saxton?" I gasp, her bright smile had me grinning back at her. She launches her small body across the room, wrapping me in a tight hug.
"Oh, Ray, I've missed you!" She squeals with delight bouncing around in my arms. I let out a genuine laugh at her.
"I have missed you too, Sax." I pull away noticing she had cut her hair into a short Bob, but she pulled it off well. "You look beautiful!" I breathed taking in all her new features, she had changed some.
"You as well!" She bounced back to my brother's side, kissing his cheek. It was amazing that she had stayed with his arrogant ass, she was too good for him.
"Your friend is here." My father sighed, grunting as he looked at Zayn next to him. "He was worried about you. Says you ran off from a party drunk with some guy?" My father continued eyeing me suspiciously.
"I wasn't with some guy, father." I scoff taking a seat on the comfy couch across from my brother. My father's eyebrows shoot up with curiosity at my statement.
"Oh? Then who was it, Rayna?" He questioned, lacing his fingers together as he leaned forward towards me.
Zayn remained silent, eyeing me with hurt and concern. He loved me, I knew that much. However I wasn't so sure about how I felt anymore.
My eyes drift towards my lap, fingers fiddling nervously. "I was-I was with Harry." I confessed, my eyes slowly looking up to my father's face. He looked pleased, but he narrows his eyes scrutinizing me. "Look I lost a bet with him. Nothing happened and he took me out this morning for brunch." I shrugged it off as if it were nothing, knowing I lied blatantly to his face.
