Brandons POV

A week has gone by and I only went to football practice once, and that was because I knew Andrew wouldn't be there. If it wasn't for him it would all be fine, the people that wax with him generally care what I did.

Tomorrow was Friday and I knew I wouldn't be able to play in the game because of all the practices I miss, but I don't really care anymore. Football has gotten boring for me, I've been doing it since 4th grade.

I was sitting on the bleachers watching Nick practicing his cheers. I wonder if I should be a cheerleader, it looks like fun, but if I do that people will start bullying me more than usual, but I'll be able to spend more time with Nick. The head cheerleader stopped neck and what I could hear, he did something wrong.

I hated that bitch, it was Brooke Williams, she flirted with Nick all the time, and he does it back. He doesn't see that she's just trying to use him for what he has in his pants. I might hate her but I can't stop myself from respecting her the same. Back in middle school she stuck up for me. Nick looked up at me and smiled, I smiled back and looked at my phone, I got a text.

To Brandon:

Heyy

To Daja:

Hey, what's up?

To Brandon:

Not much, you?

To Daja:

At Nicks Cheer leading practice.

I looked up and Nick was single basing, and in the air was Brook. The coach was teaching him a new base. She told him to throw her up into the air and catch her, and at that, Brooke was high up in the air, I was wide-eyed, and by what I could tell so were the other cheerleaders, no one thought he could have done that the first time doing something new.

After practice he ran up the stairs and hugged me tight, and I hugged back tighter. We giggled about what happened on the way to his car, but we stopped in our tracks when we saw Andrew waiting for us at Nick's car, "What are you doing here? Get away from my car."

Andrew Smirked, my hands became fists behind my back, "Oh don't worry, nothing is going to happen to your car, I just can't say the same thing about you," and at that, two guys grab both of us from behind, pinning us to be couldn't move.

"What do you want?" I asked with pain in my voice, my hand was in between my shoulder blades.

Andrew walked up to me and punch me in the gut, I bent over, "NO! STOP!" Ethan yelled, trying to get free, Andrew pulled my hair up, so I was standing up straight again, and punched me once more in the same place. I fell to the ground, the guy that was holding me letting go. Andrew started kicking me over and over, all I could do was lay there holding my head. I hear a gasp, and it didn't come from my mouth. I looked over and saw the Nick put the guy over his shoulder and now was attacking Andrew. Give in to the pain, I close my eyes and passed out.

When I woke up I was in the hospital, Nick sleeping in a chair next to the bed, "N-Ow!"  I tried to say his name but the pain was too much, Nick was awake and at my side at the speed of light.

"Sh, don't try to sit up," he said, clean my hair out of my face.

"What happened?" I didn't remember anything. All I remember was walking out to his car and seeing... "Andrew"  I looked at him and he looked back, nodding his head.

"But everything is fine, the cops has a hold on him".

"Why am I here?" I looked around the hospital room.

"You got beat up badly, and the doctor said you might have a broken rib, so he wants to keep you here for a little, but I've been here by your side the whole time, I even missed school, you slept for a day and a half," he said chuckling.

"Really? I'm sorry you missed school."

He chuckled again, 'it's all right, now move over, there's  enough room for two of us on that bed," I laughed and gasped, that really hurt. I moved over and he crowded into my hospital bed.

"What time is it?" I asked.

"10 p.m.," he said sleepily I didn't realize it was that late. Next thing I knew he was sleeping beside me, snoring a little. His snore was so cute though. I closed my eyes fell asleep, not realizing how close he was to me.
