Chaper Three

My dad got even more furious, because I had slammed my door. My dad then said, "For your little temper, you can't go into the woods for one month!" I screamed, back to him, "What!? That's not fair! I hate you!" So once Jack had came into my room I whispered to him, "Hey Jack, I think I'm gonna run away." Jack replied by saying, "Shayleigh you really shouldn't do that. You could get into some big trouble for that" I replied by saying, " I don't care about what my parents could do to me for running away. I hate my dad. Besides I'll leave a note saying that I ran away, but I won't tell where I'm running away to." I began to pack a bag containing the things I would need to survive on my own. Turning towards Jack who looked confused.

"Jack, I think that I want to live in the woods from now on."
"Why Shayleigh?"
"I just can't take it anymore. My mom and dad are always fighting, and when I walk in the house or try to stop them, they always bring me into the fights, and it stresses me out even more. I'm just done Jack." Throwing up my hands I went back to packing.

"Oh, alright then, Shayleigh. If that's what you really want, you can live with me and Thorn."

"Uhh. Hey, Jack?  "

"Yea, what's wrong Shayleigh?" 

"How the hell do you know who Thorn is?"

"Umm... Fuck...I wasn't supposed to let you know this, but you are half...Uhh, h-Half...."

  "Jack! What the hell are you trying to say! Spit it the fuck out already!"

"Damn somebody's PMSing"

I rewarded him with a slap for that

"Sorry, that was uncalled for. Anyways, Shayleigh, you. Are a half. . .Celestial Spirit"

No... This can't be!!

"And...I've known your parents your whole life....I made a promise to help protect you from the things that would come after you, soon after you were to realize the truth."
Your parents only wanted to protect you but now it's sort of too late"

That's how u can communicate with Thorn. And, I myself. I'm a full fledged Celestial Spirit. Nobody can see me except for you, thorn, and your parents and that's why whenever you talk to me, people think that you're crazy."

So Jack, what I'm hearing, is that you are basically invisible to everyone except me?  Yes Shayleigh, that's right.

Thorn had just then caught up with us. "Why does Shayleigh look like she had just seen a ghost???", asked Thorn. She tried to whisper, but she had barely lowered her voice, and asked Jack, "you didn't tell Shayleigh that she's a celestial spirit decendant, did you?"   It slipped out!! I'm sooo sorry!! I said that she could live with you and me, but she asked how I knew you, and then I told her. But it was a complete accident!

YOU IDIOT!!! SHE WASN'T SUPPOSED TO KNOW!!!!  Then, thorn and Jack had realized that I was able to hear them.

"What will happen now that I know that I'm half Celestial Spirit?? And, why wasn't I supposed to know that???", I asked very worriedly.

Thorn tried to stay calm, but couldn't, "now that Jack has told you, There is a very high chance that he might get killed. all of the things that you were supposed to be protected from, will come after you. or worse...both."

Right then, there was a bloodcurdling scream that came from the direction of my house followed by inhuman shrieks, beastly growls and snarls, and and people screaming in terror. It went on for about a minute and a half... and then there was silence.

Since we weren't but maybe 4 minutes from home, Jack and I started running as fast as we could back to the house. My lungs were burning, my legs were aching. I tripped over myself maybe twice , but I kept running. This was the fastest I had ever run before. I was starting to run out of breath, my vision was going black. I almost passed out, but Jack snapped me out of it when he told me that we were almost there. This whole time I had this horrible gut feeling that something extremely terrible had happened, and that it was in my house.

We about made it to the porch , and I used every bit of energy and strength I had left to make it to the house. I swung the door open as hard as I could I started barreling through my house into the living room, just to find that some monstrous animal thing, that looked as if it were born from the pits of Hell. It looked like some sort of, bird/lion/dragon creature. It had brutally mauled and maimed my dad. And was laying on top of him. My mom had some kind of water blades sticking out of her arms, and the creature had all of these stab marks in it, and it was dead. My mom's hair had turned a bright Aqua Blue. Her eyes were a glittery turquoise, and her clothes had turned aquamarine.

Mom??? Why do you look so different??

"Shayleigh, Jack told you that you're half Celestial Spirit, didn't he?", my mom asked.  Yes..... he did...

Shayleigh I'm the reason that you're half Celestial Spirit.

"Mom, are you seriously the reason that I'm half Celestial Spirit?", I asked.

Yes, Shaliegh...... I am the Celestial Spirit, Aquarius.
