Moving fast, Alex dragged Rocky away from the blind man after restraining him in place by some handcuffs. Due to what had almost occurred, Rocky was running on autopilot as she was in a daze while slowly following behind Alex, almost inaudibly mumbling to herself. "The money. The money. My backpack." Rocky mumbled, stopping in place and causing Alex to turn around. "Whoa, wait, you're not thinking straight." Alex said. "I'm not leaving without it." Rocky spoke quietly. "Forget about the money! I'm going to the police right now to tell them what happened in there. What he did!" Alex exlaimed angrilly. After saying that, Alex looked at Rocky for a second, slightly shaking his head before turning back around and walking again. Taking in his words and the look he gave her, Rocky moved forward, grabbing ahold of Alex and pinning him against the shelf right beside them. As the two looked at each other for a second, Rocky closed the gap, placing her hands on the sides of his face, gently pulling him into a soft kiss. After breaking away slightly, the two held their gazes again as Rocky slowly let her hands fall, gently landing against Alex's chest. "Let's take his money and get away from here together. Forever." Rocky said, speaking slowly as she was breathing slightly heavy. "Is this really what you want?" Alex questioned softly, looking down at her as he was breathing heavily as well. "Of course." Rocky replied quickly, no hesitation in her soft voice. Hearing her response, Alex closed the gap between them in a short kiss. "Let's get that money." He said after pulling away from the kiss, determination clear in his voice.
After entering the main room again, Rocky picked up a mallet that Alex had dropped when they left the room. Walking towards the blind man, Rocky put the hammer to use as she brought it down on one of the man's hands, causing the blind man to let out a pained sound as he quickly backed away from the sudden pain. Rocky then threatened to torture the blind man until he gave up the location of the money. "It's in the craddle. Take it." The man said, not putting up much of a fight, which slightly surprised Rocky. Brushing it aside, Rocky put the heavy object down while Alex went over to retrieve the money. After Alex had the backpack, he and Rocky quickly made their way towards a staircase leading back upstairs. Making their way up the stairs, the beaten, bloody, and bruised pair quickly but quietly navigated their way through the blind man's house.
Approaching the dark brown colored door, Alex retrieved a set of keys from his jacket pocket. The two came to a pause as Alex quickly found the right key and inserted it into the lock, successfully unlocking the door and pulling it open. But before anything else could happen, a shot suddenly sounded, and Alex forcefully fell forward against the door, turning towards Rocky with a clearly pained expression before slowly falling forward, hitting the floor and staying there as he lay limply with his back facing the ceiling. Staring at her fallen friend, Rocky saw a small puddle of blood start to form beneath him. Slowly moving her gaze towards the doorway in which they came from, Rocky saw the blind man standing there with a gun pointed in their direction. Feeling anger for what he had done to her, and now Alex, Rocky glanced around the room, quickly locating anything in reach that looked heavy. Looking back at Alex again, she couldn't help but notice something in one of his hands - a small, white remote. Slowly and quietly leaning down, Rocky carefully picked up the remote, realizing it was a remote to the security alarm. Acting quickly, Rocky pressed a button on the remote, making the loud security alarm go off and distract the blind man, causing him to drop his gun as he instinctively covered his ears. Rocky slowly moved away from Alex as the blind man started feeling the wall as he walked alongside it. Watching him, Rocky slowly made her way to where the gun had been dropped.
As soon as Rocky was right above the gun, the alarm ceased, and everything became quiet again. Acting quick, Rocky swiftly picked up the gun and saw that it was already loaded. Glancing over at Alex's limp form, Rocky felt a single tear espace her eye. "I'm sorry, Alex. I'm so sorry." She whispered brokenly. Spotting the blind man nearby, Rocky took a deep breath. Without hesitation, she aimed the gun and fired a shot. In response, the blind man let out a pained cry as he fell to the ground, grasping the left side of his chest as he heavily bled due to Rocky aiming the shot at the blind man's heart.
