*Cameron's POV*
We were all hanging in the hotel. I couldn't get Lilly off of my mind.
Cam, stop worrying. She's with Nash. She's fine.
Jack got a call.
"Who is it?" I asked, curious.
"I don't know..." He answered anyways, "Hello?
Who is this?
Wait what?!?!
Yeah we'll be there in a minute!"
"Be where?!?!" Kian asked.
"Nash and Lilly went to a boardwalk and fell in."
"Yeah and?" Andrea asked.
"Lilly can't swim!" Johnson yelled.
Andrea put her hand over her mouth and the shoved her head in Kian's shoulder, sobbing.
"Exactly. So when they went in, she sunk pretty far. Nash said she didn't try to splash around or anything. He had to swim down to find her. We have to go. Now."
I was up.
"Shawn, get everyone else, and meet us at the hospital," Johnson yelled.
We ran and got in the car. Johnson drove, everyone else was unstable. It was me, Gilinsky, Johnson, Luce, Damon, Jenn, Andrea, O2L, and Dan & Phil.
Gilinsky was balling, and mumbling, "I wasn't there. I wasn't there." Luce, Andrea and Jenn were all crying. I must've had tears in my eyes, too, because Jc put a hand on my shoulder.
"Dude, don't worry she's gonna be fine."
Yeah, maybe.
Damon looked like he was going to have a panic attack. All of O2L was silent, except for Kian and Connor and Sam, who were all crying.
I can't loose her. I just found her.
*Nash's POV*
We were kissing. And I moved to adjust. We both fell in. I swam back up. I laughed.
"Haha. We weren't expecting tha-"
But she wasn't there.
Where was she?
And then I remembered a fact she told me.
"I can't swim. And I don't ever wish to learn."
Shit.
I dove down. But I couldn't find her. Pitch black water.
I finally found her, lifeless. I put her on the boardwalk and then pulled myself up. I pulled out my phone. It wouldn't turn on. Why wouldn't it- oh yeah. The water. I searched her for a phone. She had a life proof, I think. But her phone died. So I picked her up and carried her to the carnival.
"HELP SOMEONE HELP!"
People looked my way, and ran over to help. I borrowed a phone, called 911, and then called Gilinsky. He said he was on his way.
What if she's not okay. This is all my fault.
The ambulance showed up.
"Excuse me sir, but only family is allowed in the back of the ambulance. Are you her family?"
"I'm her boyfriend." Maybe it wasn't official. But I didn't have any other way to get there. I had to lie.
We got to the hospital, and all of the Youtubers on tour were there. Including a very angry, Jack Gilinsky.
"WHERE IS SHE?!?!"
"Where is who, sir?"
"MY LITTLE SISTER! LILLY SCOTT!"
"I'm sorry, but we don't have any patients with that name."
"BULLSHIT!"
"Sir, if you don't calm down I'm going to have to call security." And that's when he noticed us walking by. Lilly on the stretcher. Lifeless.
He started crying and grabbed her hand, "Lilly please don't leave me."
"Sir, only two family members can come back."
"I'm her brother."
The EMT turned to me, "Are you coming too?"
"Uh no. Johnson," I said. He looked at me, confused, "You need to go. To be there for Gilinsky." It was really because I wasn't sure if I could see her like that anymore.
He nodded.
"Is he family?" The EMT asked.
"HE'S BASICALLY MY BROTHER NOW GO FIX HER!" Gilinsky yelled. He nodded and they all walked away. Leaving me there.
"Dude you okay?" Shawn asked. I looked at him and that's when I realized the seriousness of the situation. I broke down.
"She might be gone. And it's all my fault." I sobbed. He just comforted me.
"No. She's gonna be fine. Stay postive."
Once I calmed down, he handed me some jeans, a Vans shirt, boxers, and red Vans.
"Figured you might want these. You being wet and all."
I nodded. "Come get me if they give and update."
He nodded. I walked to the bathroom. I walked into the stall, not wanting to look in the mirror, and changed. When I walked out, though, I couldn't help but glance at my reflection. And I realized: I looked horrible. My hair was all messed up. My eyes were bloodshot, there were bags under my eyes. I looked awful.
Oh, well. I need to get back. I started walking back and I noticed Kian yelling at a doctor.
"What don't you understand?!?! We aren't taking her off life support. And we definitely aren't making a decision until Nash gets back and Jack wakes up! Got it?!?!"
"Life support? Wait, why is Gilinsky asleep?" I mumbled. Everyone looked at me.
"She consumed a large amount of water into her lungs. It will take surgery to get it out. And the chances of her living through that are very slim." The doctor said, "and your friend couldn't keep calm. I didn't want to kick him out so I just gave him some medicine to make him sleep."
"You didn't have to-" Jc started. But I cut him off.
"She might not live?" The doctor nodded his head, "I need to see her. Like now!"
"Okay. You can come back now. And one more."
I didn't know who I would bring back with me. Damon, the girls, or any of O2L would break. Anyone else wasn't close. Except for one person.
*Cameron's POV*
Nash looked at me, "Will you come back to see her with me?"
"Uh... Yeah. Sure"
Oh no. I can't. I can't see her like this. I can't be near him. I wanted to punch him just because he was there when it happened.
It's not his fault, keep it together.
We walked into the room. She was hooked up to millions of wires. Making her breathe. Making her heart beat. I saw Johnson by the bed with bloodshot eyes, looking over Lilly. Even like this she still looks gorgeous. She would always look gorgeous. I tried to hold back tears, for Nash. But he broke. He had to leave the room and I just stood there. I looked closer, and noticed Johnson, holding her hand. Mumbling something. I could barley make it out, "Lilly. I know you can hear me. But I need you to wake up, okay? Gilinsky needs you..." More tears were welling up in his eyes, "I need you. Your my little sis and if you leave, nothing will be the same again. So please, please. Wake up. I love you Lilly." And he kissed her cheek. I didn't get jealous. Johnson was basically her brother. I knew that they would never happen.
I coughed. Johnson looked up, "oh. I didn't know you were there," he wiped tears from his eyes, "I was just,"
"Don't try to pretend that your okay. It's okay to not be okay." He nodded. "So I heard Gilinsky got a little crazy," I said, looking over at him, sleeping on the couch.
Johnson chuckled, "Yeah he flipped shit, not gonna lie I almost did too. They said we didn't have a choice. She was practically brain dead. They were forcing us to sign papers, giving them permission to take her off. He went nuts, to say the least."
His words cut like a knife. The reality set in. I might not see the glow of her eyes again. I grabbed a chair from next to him and brought it to the other side of the bed, and held her other hand.
"Lilly. You've become like a little sister to me, and I need you. I need your laugh, your stupid jokes, your smile. I need you here. Because I love you," I choked out. Should I be saying that in front of Johnson? He won't think anything of it. So I continued, "Please wake up." I let my tears fall. I brought her hand to my mouth and kissed it. She was cold, so cold.
Nash walked in and looked at us, expecting us to give up our seats, but neither of us wanted to leave her side.
He sat on the counter while we waited.
