'This amount of sleep is feeling weird'
'Its seems like I've been asleep for too long....'
'What if my alarm didn't go off..?'
You shot up in your bed, panicked. You turned your head and looked at your clock.
'6:45?!'
You silently cursed to yourself. You still had a lot of time until you had to wake up. You loudly groaned, obviously annoyed with yourself. You laid back down in bed. After a few moments of silence, you got up.
"Might as well get ready." You mumbled to yourself.
*times skip*
After getting ready, you went downstairs and decided to make some breakfast for yourself, You started walking to the kitchen but heard the doorbell ring.
"I wonder who that could be." You said to yourself. You opened the door and your eyes met with Riko's kind blue ones. He smiled his signature smile.
"(Y/N)! Hello!" You were engulfed in a gentle embrace.
"Good morning, Riko." You responded, hugging Riko back.
"You didn't answer any of my texts yesterday! I was worried!" Riko pouted and rested his head on my shoulder, taking in my scent. You heard the sound of Riko smelling you, but you didn't mind. Riko had been doing this for years so you just thought it was the normal.
"Sorry Riko, I wasn't on my phone at all last night, but uh.. I was just about to cook breakfast, would you like some?" you asked the blond, stepping back a little so the male could come in. Riko nodded and came inside, you closed the door and both walked to the kitchen. Riko sat down at the table and you started making some scrambled eggs and bacon.
"Ne.. (Y/N) do you need any help?" Riko asked. You shook your head. After a few moments you heard the shuffling of feet coming towards you.
"Riko, I told you I didn't need any hel-" A hand covered your mouth.
"Shh (Y/N).." The blonde haired boy took his hand off from your mouth and wrapped his arms around your waist, pulling your form towards him. "Lets just enjoy this moment.." Riko mumbled, resting his head on your shoulder and holding you a little tighter. Your heart was beating so loudly you were almost sure that Riko could hear it. After a few moments he let go, and stepped back. You turned around and saw the male. He was smiling like an idiot and blushing like crazy.
"That was a nice moment heh." Riko whispered, sheepishly. You were about to turn back around but Riko pulled me towards him and hugged me again.
"You're so adorable." He whispered and kissed my forehead.
*time skip!*
You finished making breakfast and put it on two plates, giving one to Riko. After eating, you washed the dishes and the two of you headed to school.
"Hey (Y/N)."
"Yes?"
"Lets hangout today, lets go down to the park."
"Alright sure!" You smiled.
The school day was any other school day, though Riko seemed more clingy and protective today. Ayato wasn't really himself when Riko was around either, but nonetheless, it was still like any other day.
It was the end of the day and Ayato asked to walk home with you. You nodded and they started walking home together. It was a quiet walk but you enjoyed his presence. But the silence was soon interrupted by Riko running up towards you two.
"(Y/N)! I thought we were gonna walk together.." Riko pouted.
"Sorry, but ayato asked to walk with me."
He huffed and glared at Ayato, Ayato glaring back at Riko. Then Riko took your arm and harshly pulled you away from ayato, dragging you elsewhere. You gently waved to Ayato and mouthed the words 'I'm sorry'. Ayato looked angry, his fists were clenched and he was glaring at Riko, but once he saw you his features softened. He looked sad for a moment. He flashed me a sad smile, waving back a little. After a while of walking, we were at the park. Riko turned to you and sharply glared.
"Why were you with him?" He berated.
"Because he asked me to walk with him!" You snapped back.
"You're not allowed to walk with him anymore, dont even talk to him." He responded, gripping onto your shoulder a little harder. It started to sting, but you were able to withstand it.
"No! He's my best friend! And I can talk to him if I want to! Ugh! I hate you!" You retorted, infuriated.
Riko's expression quickly changed, it was obvious what you said had saddened him.
"You're going to leave me.. aren't you?" He looked down.
"N-No! I would never leave you.."
"You'll forget all about me, wont you..?" Tears started welling up in his eyes.
You didn't know what to do.
"E-Eh.. I'd never leave you Riko! We've been best friends since we were kids!"
"Promise that you'll never leave me?" He asked. You nodded and gave him an awkward hug. He hugged back, smirking. You tensed up a little but soon relaxed in his arms. You looked up at Riko and he looked down at me. You smiled at him and before you was able to say anything, you felt a pair of lips on yours. You were surprised but didn't do anything to stop the kiss. It was sweet and gentle but at the same time passionate. You genuinely enjoyed it.
But another male that was watching us did not enjoy the sight. This made him dislike Riko even more.
