In The End

Red on white flesh

Almost as beautiful as she

I cry as I think

That she will never feel the same

Nor will she know

That red on white flesh

Reminds me of her lips

As they whisper my name

Darkness in the light

Almost as beautiful as she

I sleep as I dream

That she will feel the same

And she will know

But as the darkness grows

I remember that it is a dream

And I remember that this is not sleep

But death.

And in the end I thought of her

Trying to save me

And maybe she was there

Or maybe it was a dream because

Before the dakness took over

She whispered in my ear

I Love You

And with my last breath I responded

I Love You More
