I'm sitting on my bed, after telling Jessica that I'm with child. When I found out, I called Jess right away to tell her the news. She took it pretty well. First she demanded who the father is, when and where it happened and all that good stuff. (Note the sarcasm!) Then she screamed getting excited saying that if it was a girl she would buy really 'hot' clothes and all the boys would be drooling over her. After seeing her all excited, I got pretty excited, but then I remember the situation we were in.

"Jess! This is not the time to be talking about getting him/her clothes or the amount of kids drooling over him/her! We need to talk about how and IF I'm going to tell Kyle. I mean, how am I going to tell him I'm pregnant with his child? I can't just walk up to him and say, "I'm pregnant! And you're the daddy!"

"Well, you could go to his house and talk to him?"

"That could work, but I don't know where he lives. And don't you think it would be a bit weird going to his house? I mean, were pretty much strangers, we had sex and that's it!"

"He is the dad of the baby Keel; you can't hide something like this! This is a baby were talking about! He's going to find out somehow; wouldn't it be better for all of us if he found out from you and not the school?"

She has a point there, but I'm just scared that he wouldn't want to be there, not that he would want to be there for me and the baby. "I guess you're right, do you know what his address is? I'll go tomorrow morning. "

"I don't know his address, bu-"

"Keelyn, Jessica! Dinner's ready!" My mom called from downstairs.

"Yay! I'm starving!" Jess pretty much threw me out of the way and out the door. Hm... I think she's hungry!

On the way down Jess asked, "When are you going to tell your mom?" See, my dad left us when I was 4 saying he didn't want us anymore and that he found someone better. It broke my heart for a few years, but then I got over it and despise of the man to this day.

"I don't know yet, I was thinking of waiting till I show." I said pointing to my flat stomach. It's hard to think that there is a living thing growing in there.

"Oh, okay." Jess said giving me a look of disappointment then looking down. Jessica always believed in telling your parents everything, even when you could get into huge trouble, I guess it as just how she grew up.

When we reached the table, all signs of the conversation we over. "Jessica! Come give you second favorite mom a hug!" My mom said opening her arms. My mom is one of those parents where they make friends with their 17 year old daughters friends. She also doesn't even really care if I go to parties or go out with boyfriends. But that doesn't happen really, that's why she likes Jessica so much, because she's the complete opposite!

"So how have you been Jessica? I haven't seen you here in a while! That definitely has to change! We should all go on a shopping trip this weekend!"

"Yeah, I was actually thinking of going shopping this weekend for a party" Jess and my mom both looked at me silently asking if I would go.

I nodded and said, "Yeah that would be fun I guess"

My mom clapped and took a bite of her food, after chewing and swallowing she said, "Then it's settled! Be here at 10:30 Jessica, I want to get a head start!"

After that, we pretty much ate silently, and then me and Jessica went upstairs to put in a movie and go to bed.

The next morning Jessica went home and I got out the school directory to find Kyle's address. When i found it, I got ready to go and tell him the news. I took a shower, got dressed in a plain baby blue shirt and jean shorts then slipped on my black converse. After that I brushed through my brown wavy hair and put eye liner and mascara on my blue eyes. I walked down stairs telling my mom I was going to a friend's house for a little while. After getting her approval, I walked out of my house and got into my car thinking only one thing: This better be worth it.
