Ch. 12

Matthew

Game Day baby! I'm so turnt and can't wait. Me and the players are in the locker room gettin ready. We already had our pads and cleats on. "Alright boys yal ready?!" I shouted

"Yea!"

I'm captain for tonight and things couldn't get any better. "Aye yo Hakeem, you got me tonight bruh?"

He gave me slight mug but nodded his head. "Yea. I'm not one to throw a game."

"Alright boys! It's time!" Yelled

Coach.

We threw on our helmets and jerseys. We ran out the locker room and into the stadium of screaming crowds.

Rebecca

"Matthew Sutton throws the ball and it's good! Touchdown Panthers!!!! We win the game!"

"Yaaasssssss!!!"me and Ke jigged to the victory music.

"Oo girl sit down!"She said grabbing my arm for balance. "I'm getting dizzy."

"It's probably all that junk you ate Ke. You ready to go?"

"Yea. Just take me home."

I looked to the field to see the players carrying Matthew off. I'll get with him later. I grabbed Kiara and helped her to my car and took her home.

"Meet me at the spot."

I read the txt and smiled. I was just now leaving Kiara's house. I insisted she stayed with me cause no one was home but she refused. I went to my special spot up on the hill that over looked Cali and pulled in next to Matthew. I got out and walked over to him.

"Baby!"I said jumping into his arms. "I'm so proud of you!"

"Thanks bae. Why weren't you there? I was looking for you afterwards."

"I was. I had to take Ke home."

"She ok?"

"Yea, just a lil light headed."

His nodded his head and lifted up my chin and kissed my lips ever so sweetly.

"I can't wait to tell everybody your mine."he smiled.

"Yea...I'm just so scared."

"Rebecca I've given you damn near a whole month to get over this fear. I can't wait no longer baby."

"I know."I sighed. "I just don't want no mess."

"Look, what's understood between us, doesn't have to be explained to them."

Matthew's words really stuck with me. I just hope he's right.
