Graduation Day

I smoothed out my white robe and adjusted my cap and gown as I stood, waiting for my name to be called.

Since taking my virginity, me and Matthew haven't been more in love. We're both going off to Georgia Tech where he'll be majoring in Business, but still playing football and I'll be running track and majoring in Business too.

Me and Kiara got back to how we were and I couldn't be more thrilled! I looked down at her beaming face as she held her high school diploma in her lap. She was 5 months pregnant, and you could see her baby bump. She also learned recently that she's having a baby girl! She decided to stay here in California and go to community college and get a job to support her and her baby and to get away from Hakeem ass.

Hakeem and his boys were arrested for what they did to Mathew. I don't know when they getting out. Kiara was devastated when they came and got em but she had to suck it up. Me and Mrs. Sutton have been on great terms. We're like the best of friends, and my family loves Matthew.

"Rebecca Leaks."

I smiled big and stepped onto the stage. I could hear people cheering for me. I walked up to our principal and he smiled at me.

"It was a pleasure to have you Rebecca."

He handed me my diploma in my right hand and I took his hand in my left. We smiled for a picture and I left the stage. I retook my seat and sat there reflecting on my high school years. I've came so far and experienced so much that I wouldn't go back and have it any other way. I was pleased with myself and the things God had in store.

"Seniors,you will be truly missed." Our principal said. "You may now move your tassel." I heard sniffles from my classmates as we moved our tassel over. "Ladies and gentleme, I present to you, the Class of 2015!"

We threw our caps in the air and hugged one another. It was finally over! The people in the stands rushed out to find their family members. Kiara found me and hugged me tight!

"Not so hard girl! You gon hurt my niece."

"This baby is a trooper!" We burst out in laughter.

Big arms wrapped around me and spun me around. "Mathew, put me down!" He sat me down and kissed my forehead. "Baby we made it!"

"I know boo!"

"It doesn't matter, cause yal will never be shit."

We all looked at the owner of the voice and we saw it was Brittany. She stood there with a evil grin and with her hand on her hips.

"You know what Brit-"

"Rebecca-"

"No Matthew. Let me talk."

"Brittany you might just be right. I probably won't ever be shit,but you, you will never be me. You're just mad because I got Matthew, and I'm better looking, and I dragged yo ass in the ground!" The crowd around us died laughing. "So go ahead and live your miserable life,trying to make others unhappy cause as far as I'm concerned....you're the one that'll never be shit."

I grabbed Mathew's hand and Kiara's hand and brushed pass her. They smiled at me and I returned the gesture.

I got my best friend by my side,and my boyfriend on the other. And as far as I can see...we have a bright future ahead.
