In the twilight between waking and sleeping, I hear a gentle tinkling sound. I pull my blanket up to my chin and nestle my face into my pillow. I stay like that for a moment before my eyes snap open. This isn't my bed.
I jolt up and my eyes take their time adjusting to the light. But when they finally do, my heart lurches at the first thing I see for it brings back the pain of losing Sammy and the fear of what's to come.
"You're awake," The deviant states plainly from a leather armchair in the corner of the room. He's lazily flicking a coin between his long fingers. "You've been unconscious for 12 hours, 36 minutes, and 20 seconds."
I note that he's ditched his suit jacket and replaced his bloodied white shirt with a clean one that lies open at the top.
I survey my surroundings; the foreign room I'm in is grand. There's a huge chandelier hanging from the ceiling, a cabinet filled with antique books, and a marble fireplace next to the deviant's armchair. Then I look down at myself and see that I'm wearing a ladies nightshirt. My eyes widen before meeting the deviant's cool, brown ones. Did he undress me?
He appears unfazed as he says "Your other clothes were covered in Thirium 310."
"Where am I?" I manage to choke out.
