After Nick's announcement the party officially commenced and everyone took a seat around their designated table where the food was served .

Of course Nick and I were the ones sharing it out and I actually felt bad for him. In 6 months to a year Chloe and my parents would be accustomed to him and then start treating him the same way they treated me , Neglectful , always taking Chloe's side , treating him as a personal slave , have no respect for him and making him feel worthless and all the other stuff they did and made me feel.

We finally handed out all the plates and only two was left , Mine and Nick's . Nick ran into some small talk with a friend while I went back to get my plate .

There stood Chloe and two males talking and in front of the men two empty plates . My plate , empty !

"Who are you and why the h*ll did you eat my food ." I screamed .

A short figure turned to me , he resembled someone I knew , the next figure turned and to my disbelief it was Josh , my first kiss and childhood boy best friend .

"Cylus ?" he exclaimed as he scooped me into a big hug .

Ten seconds into the hug and he pulled away , his eyes exploring my features with an ear to ear grin plastered on his face .

"What are you doing here ?" I asked still in shock .

"Well my family came to visit my father's mother , she only lived a half an hour away from here , so my brother and I , " I looked over to short mirrored version of Josh only he didn't have dimples , and waved .

" Left early so we could check you guys , thank god you guys still in the same house or else we would have driven here for nothing . Oh I am babbling how are you ." He continued .

"Great , I live in New York now and ugh I am just so happy to see you again ." I smiled.

Josh opened his mouth to talk but the words that we heard wasn't his , in fact it was my attention seeking sister tryna get attention again , " Cylus leave him alone , you are interrupting our conversation."

"That's my que to leave ." I whispered to him and started retreating .

"Congratulations on your engagement , we'll catch up later ." He said before running after me with his brother following.

"Sorry for your food , Chloe said it was extras . How about after the party I take you to get any fast food of your choice ."

" Eww no drop me home first , I am not going to be the third wheeler on your date ." His brother scrunched up his face .

"Oh and I am Trent by the way , ladies always pick me over my brother , if you want we can make him the third wheel while we go on a date ." He playfully flirted earning a chuckle from me and a shove from Josh.

" ' An any fast food of my choice ' date sounds like a plan ." I smiled .

The party went on , nothing exciting happened . Josh , Trent and I got along really good and we disclosed ourselves from others and sat inside just talking about everything and nothing .

Josh was doing really well , he was currently a mechanic and Trent was still in collage following in his brother's footsteps .

They explained to me that a week ago they got a call from the hospital saying there grandmother fell ill with Arthritis and got discharge yesterday so they plan to spend a week with her until they fly back.

It was really easy to talk to them and they were just making my day cracking jokes . It had need more than 15 years since I seen him but our friendship connection was still great .

The day proceeded nicely , at some point we had to go back outside to watching the cutting of the cake and make a toast .

Josh and Trent really made my mood and I decided not be hateful so I went Chloe and apologized .

Of course she blew it of saying "Whatever , I don't need your apology I bet your sugar baby ." but I felt good knowing I was the bigger person.

Night quickly fell , the entire day I was hungry but now Josh was going to make it up to me . When Trent heard I picked Chinese food he forgot about his plans on going home and came with us , quoting ' I was craving some nice wontons all week , so duh I am coming '

Here we were now seated in the nicely lit Chinese restaurants watching as a small women brought over our food .

" Here yo go , two portion wontons , shrimp fried noodles and fried rice with cut up chicken ." She said placing our plates in front of us .

I immediately picked up my chop sticks digging into my shrimp noodles , which were my ultimate favourite .

None of us talked as it was a special moment , we all made love to our food occasionally taking sips of our drinks.

"Guys that was amazing , how did you even know about this place ?" I directed my question the Josh .

" Mum brought me here right after graduation of pre-school , Somehow I remembered the location and I must say I am thankful they are still open after this many years ."

" Yeah whenever I visit my parents again I am definitely coming here again ."

" Hey when are you leaving ." Trent asked finally finishing his wontons which he savored his way through .

" Tonight I suppose , It's late but honestly I just don't want to sleep over at my parents place .
"
" Let me drop you ? " Josh asked trying his luck .

"No chance , they drive is 2 hours long . You might fall asleep on the road ."

" I don't take no for an answer , alt least let me hire and pay for you an uber , The only cabs out here tonight are driven by rapists ."

He did have a point , " Sure that would be appreciated ."

He pulled out his phone and dialed one up , In ten minutes the uber arrived at the restaurant and they walked me out and we exchanged our farewells .

Fun chapter to write 😂 , And if y'all are wondering Josh and Trent are not possible love interests . They were this chapters special guest so y'all could get a feel of Chloe's hate for Cylus .
